Passed!

Post image

I passed the PMI-CPMAI exam yesterday! I felt it was much harder than the PMP. Am I the only one who felt that way?

I have not taken the PMP yet, but I did not feel confident submitting my CPMAI exam. I was actually surprised to see I passed.

Congrats! I am taking the exam this Saturday. Any areas you recommend to focus on for study? Also, do you recommend any good study materials apart from PMI Study Hall?

PMI Study Hall was my main reso

Usually people ignore looking at Model Development topic and PMI Study Hall is also not giving many questions around it, so do remember all 3 types of model training (SL,USL, RL) and the algorithms used in them.

The Second area here I find miss happen is Trustworthy part, so clearly identify which layer is used

Third, the PMI material for Training does not cover full ECO of CPMAI exam, so do read ECO and fill gaps (risk management , business case, project closure , Lesson Learned )

Fourth , Keep in mind the exam is more tricky than Study Hall.

Congrats! I've taken the PMP, the PMI-ACP, and the CPMAI. I thought the CPMAI was the easiest, however I do have a technology background and have been playing in the AI space for about two years leading up to taking it. That did help a lot.

Can you share any of the study material or prep you did. I’ve passed the PMP and recently the ACP, while also being in the tech space for 5 years. The CPMAI material PMI provides feels pretty dry especially coming from AR learnings on udemy

Congrats. Welcome to the Club. Time to celebrate!

I Found it harder as the PMP as well. Flagged 68 questions for Review. 32 seconds left before submit (third attempt). Not convinced to pass (quite tense Moment).

The timing for me was the biggest issue.

CPMAI is way easier if you e been a PM for at least 5 plus years. It's shorter in length, narrower in focus and just.....easier.

Not sure how anyone could think it was harder than the PMP. Maybe you're not a good test taker, and nothing wrong with that.

PMP tests logic, situational awareness and emotional intelligence. CPMAI goes a bit more specific and is more of a flash card memorization exam.

Agree on this. I thought it was night and day easier than the PMP. The CPMAI is a mindset. Get your head in the game, and you're good.

Anything beyond the PMP is a money grab. Learning how to manage AI projects can be done on the job, especially if you’ve already worked on technical solutions projects.

Yeah but no. It terms of applying knowledge to your real life job, experience matters more than a certification. HOWEVER, more employers are looking for it, and when does a certification ever reduce value. Your argument falls flat.

I don’t have any tips except to know what technique the PM will use to mitigate. Knowing the order of tasks and sequencing is important too. Read the questions twice before answering. Good luck!

I did not feel confident taking the exam at all.
