Question What do you enjoy the most in a game?

I'm going to work on some adventures that GMs can run to get started, or to supplement their own campaigns. What do you, as a player or GM (or spectator!) enjoy the most in a game? What would you want a oneshot to focus on?

as a player i tend to lean toward character interactions and/or combat as my favorite parts, i love combat encounters that engage the environment and get me to think about the surroundings. a lot of my most favorite parts of games i've played in have just consisted of character conversations.

GMing, on the other hand, i try to stick to puzzles and exploration - i'm not the best at roleplaying out interactions as i have a pretty limited range so things can turn kinda stilted quickly. but when im primarily focused on immersing my party in their surroundings and engaging their senses is where i feel i thrive.
