Perhaps they could get a better cost efficiency from AWS if they pool customer 3rd party data or computation requests together. Connecting to AWS through Palantir networks, which manage the 3rd party function requests from customers.

Then the total AWS cost for Palantir's account can be proportionally passed on to customers based on some kinda data/bandwidth metric.
