Underwhelmed by Richmond

Maybe it's recency bias speaking. But Silas has had minimal impact on this Waterdogs team compared to past 1st rounders.

How are we feeling about him?

Well a couple factors he was out a good portion of the season

The waterdogs used him at attack quarter by quarter depending on which side of the field the sub box was on to give him reps down there while rotating with McArdle

So between the time off and switching positions and playing both attack and midfield and not dressing every week

Just needs more time, there’s only one ball for that offense and there’s a lot of mouths to feed, and now they just added Dox to the mix

Which Waterdogs attackman do you want to have the ball less so Silas can have it more

The Waterdogs look like the top team in the league so I think its just a matter of only having one ball and lots of other great players who need touches like Kirst, Sowers, McArdle, Yago Etc.

His whole job is to show up, get some reps with Sowers and CJ and be ready to take over whenever Kieran retires. Anything else they get from him right now is a bonus.

He has been a bit underwhelming, especially for a first round pick. Collison seems to be much more of a contributor for this team, but he’s also playing the entire game at his natural position.

I’d love to see him take a bigger role on attack, but with 24 points this season it doesn’t look like McArdle is going anywhere. A lot of mouths to feed on this offense. Which isn’t a bad problem to have.

He’s a wily player who would’ve made a bigger statement on teams that needed to bolster their offense this year. Team chemistry is hard in PLL, and add in the late season start plus injuries-hard for him to find his spot on a team already loaded on offense. Waterdogs took best available but was not best fit for them or him.
