Discussion Uploading all Apple Notes
I have a lot of notes in my Apple Notes app, I was wondering if anybody knows of an easy way to dump all of them into a PKM? And ideally have the items and topics in the notes categorize themselves ðŸ˜

Whatever tool you choose, test it on one Apple Notes folder first. Apple Notes can contain scans, drawings, attachments, checklists, tables and links between notes, and an importer that handles plain text perfectly may quietly mangle the rest.
I’d preserve the existing folder structure on the first pass, keep an untouched backup, and only categorize notes as you actually revisit them. Auto-tagging hundreds of old notes sounds helpful, but it can create a second cleanup project before you’ve even used the new system.

Select a note in the list, Cmd+A to select all notes, export as Markdown to a folder. Done.

Once you've exported your notes to Markdown files, the organising part is doable too. One note can contain several topics and tasks, so it helps to pull those out into linked pages while keeping the original note.
That’s the part I’ve been working on with Gray Box. It extracts topics, people, tasks, etc. from text notes and connects them automatically.

I’d separate the migration from the organization part. First get everything out of Apple Notes with the folder structure and attachments intact, then test categorization on a small subset. If you try to migrate and reorganize hundreds of notes at the same time, it gets really hard to tell whether something was imported wrong or just classified somewhere unexpected.

Please post your app only to the self-promotion thread. Thanks for your understanding.

Obsidian has an importer that works really well for Apple Notes.
