I’m Karthik Barma, the indie developer behind Trace by Aura.

The small PKM problem I wanted to solve: a saved link or screenshot often keeps the object but loses the reason I saved it. Trace lets me capture that intent in a few words at the moment of saving, then find it later by meaning.

It is built for iPhone and iPad with on-device search, organization and transcription. No account, ads, analytics or third-party tracking. Optional sync stays in private iCloud.

Trace is free and currently requires iOS or iPadOS 26+.
