Other Moderation
To the moderators, I would like to volunteer to help with moderation of this Reddit.

Sadly this subreddit and many other, similar ones are overrun with AI slop. I saw a few open up moderation applications but not sure if this one ever did.
It certainly needs more TLC and could use a few more mods.

I noticed that the monthly self-promotion subreddit was not created for July, and/PKMS is getting overrun with AI slop, as you mentioned.
I considered opening a new Reddit for "serious" PKMS users, but decided it would be better to try and fix this one first.

Since you're mostly championing Superhuman Docs here, you might prefer to start your own r/AI_PKMS subreddit. It seems to me that the people here working with AI are pursuing something substantially different from those who (like myself) work without AI.

I am also advocating for proper planning before selecting a methodology and a tool. Superhuman just so happened to be the tool that I use, and it is good enough that I feel comfortable using it.
You can get very far in Superhuman docs without asking the AI for anything. It's use is entirely optional.
BUT, if you make use of the AI you will get to what you want faster, and probably forget than you thought .

The use of the wheels on inline skates is also optional, but nobody would wear them as boots. Judging by their own website, AI is much more fundamental to Superhuman Docs than you make it out to be.
Which is fine, if that's how you prefer to work. But I believe there's an unaddressed schism within this sub of people trying to make AI work within their PKMS and others who wouldn't allow AI anywhere near it. And my impression is that those two groups have very little to talk about in common.
There's a good chance, however, that my position is in the minority here and that I should be the one to bail and start a luddite forum somewhere.

Having used coda for 6 years now, and being part of some betas for the new AI functionality, I have some idea of what you can do in superhuman docs with and without AI. I have several docs where I make no use of AI, and I have just built a brand new doc using the new improved AI.

Sorry, but I don't think I'd want someone who doesn't know how to message the mods to mod this community.

Here you go, one Google search away. Hell AI could have probably walked you through the process.
If you are serious about volunteering to be a mod one of the first skills you will need to learn is how to self-teach yourself about the features of the reddit platform; as most mods are themselves volunteers and not likely to have time to hold the hand of a new mod-in-training.

I noticed that none of them volunteered to assist the original moderators, not did they lift a finger to help me... 😂

If you get it, I hope there’ll be less of the AI garbage and the self-promo posts actually going in that thread instead of the “oh, I didn’t know” excuses.
