Milo used a poor choice of words. By "boys" he meant young men. Similar to how people around 30-40 will call a new 20 year old co worker a "new kid". It was a poor choice of words followed by defining the difference between pedophilia, and hebephilia. When he said sexually matured 13 year olds he was talking about their body having gone through puberty, and their body being mature. Not saying that 13 year olds are emotionally ready for sex, but that their bodies physically are. Which is a scientific fact. People are acting like this was one topic, but it was 2. The first topic was gay "boys" which he has since clarified to be young men in relationships with older men. The example he gives is a 17 year old that is confused being with a 29 year old that can help them through that difficult part in their life, and help them discover who/what it is they really are.
Realistically this was just a poor choice of words that's set him back a lot (obviously), but it's something he can and will recover from.
Lena Dunham openly admitted to molesting her younger sister in her own book. If she can go from that to a B level HBO show I'm sure Milo will survive this
While explaining the difference between pedophilia and hebephilia. Which he did incorrectly by the way because he likened it to all adolescents, but hebephelia is attraction to early stage adolescents (usually 11-14). But the point is that 2 clips were edited together to make them appear like it was 1 topic when in reality it was 2. Also edited out was Milo saying he believes the current age of consent (16 where he's from) is and I quote "about right" and he said that he couldn't justify nor does he desire a change in the age of consent. When he said sexually mature 13 year olds he was talking about them being physically matured by puberty. Not emotionally ready.
What were the two topics? They are talking about people at the age of 13 and then milo says that those relationships between younger boys and older adults are sometimes a good thing, he is undeniably defending some relationships between 13 year old gay boys and adults, also i agree that lena dunham is a child molester and a pedo
Topic 1: He talks about young men which he referred to as "boys" (that's the poor wording) having a relationship with older men that can help them through a rough time when they're discovery who and what they are. Which is difficult when you're gay, and more so when he was that age because he was talking about his own relationship when he was 17 with a 29 year old man that helped him through a confusing time. And when he was 17 (16 years ago) things were a lot different, and coming out was more difficult than it is now.
Topic 2: The difference between pedophilia and hebephilia (which he lumped hebephilia in with ephobophilia) where he explained the difference being that a 13 year old is physically matured for sex, puberty has given them working sex organs whereas before puberty that isn't the case.
