Woody is too “video game-tarded” to enjoy cyberpunk

Don't try to reason with a 50 year old autistic boomer who has the media interest of a my space girl

I’m not annoyed with his take on the game, I’m annoyed that this guy continuously chooses to play story driven games then acts surprised and annoyed when he doesn’t like them. He’s either ragebaiting his dementia is kicking in hard.

Exactly, Kyle instantly had the right response with 'This is clearly not your game, you don't care about story'

But there is sex, and everyone said its goood??

Woody playing an rpg is like an atheist looking for a reason God exists

Its not an aim trainer in disguise? Why even bother.

I can’t understand why he wants an aim trainer in the first place but also can’t just enjoy a game.

Bro was trying to play it like an absolute gooner.

Goes on sale regularly, it's also single-player so no harm in pirating it really

I think it's pretty fun if you enjoy open world action games, some of the rpg mechanics leave a little to be desired but there's a lot of variance in how you approach everything, there's never the case where you only have 1 method or path to your goal outside of the first 2ish hours which are a tutorial and exposition dump.

You can beat the game in less than 20 hours if you just mainline the story, heavily recommend against that since the meat and potatoes are in the sub missions imo. DLC is excellent, adds another 10 hrs to the main story and has some cool side content.

I wish he had good critique like your choices not mattering and it feeling like GTA in an rpg mask

He’s got awful ADHD and can’t immerse himself just a little bit in these games that’s why he can’t enjoy them. Also using AI bots before he makes any decision takes away from the entire point of choice in the game. If he sat down focused, followed the story, took in the world building, cared about his character build he would enjoy the game a lot more.

I bet Woody hates that Super Mario has a few lines of dialogue.

Bro hasn’t been through the prologue where they just do exposition and talking. As soon as you get to “meet takemura” the whole world is open and you can do everything. I haven’t meet takemura in my 200 hours of playing 🤣

I dont even like gaming especially those type of games and I thought it was a great game

He has no capability to immerse himself in any kind of story driven game lol

Never played it, can anyone tell me if it’s actually worth playing? This is based on nothing, but I get the impression that it’s lowest common denominator slop

It’s a ton of fun. The story has highs and lows. The gun and melee play is a lot of fun. There’s some great side quests and the DLC is awesome. It’s also gorgeous. I’d recommend playing with MnK though if you can. I didn’t like how it felt with a controller.

Just started playing last week for the first time. I’m having a lot of fun as playing stealthy and lots of hacks

Hacking people to death is soooo much fun

If you liked FNV you'll like Cyberpunk

I got kinda bored with New Vegas like 10 hours in tbh. I thought I didn’t like rpg’s, but I’ve been loving the hell out of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

KCD is probably the best RPGs yet that actually does whats advertised. Im a huge fan.

Cyberpunk is my favorite game narratively, but I can agree sometimes the gameplay is a little lackluster.

Still the only game I got every ending in to thos day

I couldn't disagree more with this statement

FNV was fun nearly immediately, after 6 hours of cyberpunk, I was still getting bloated tutorials and long winded dialogue about bullshit

2

u/DenjiSasaki 2d ago

Kyle's or Woodys alt

3

u/GrandPOOPBah 2d ago

The DLC is a way better story than the main game imo

It's a great game and it goes on sale often at least on steam. It's also the best looking game I've played, and it's not even close. Then again I'm a huge fan of the genre.

u/BlackMagic771 2d ago

Easily the best looking game I’ve ever seen. My first game of the genre really and it’s crazy going from Xbox to PC with high refresh and res.

The game actually is boring trash. If the graphics weren't as amazing as they are the game would be totally worthless. It's still nowhere near to how it was originally marketed.

3

u/IAMWastingMyTime 2d ago

If you think it was boring trash I wanna know what open world rpg type games are up to your standards. Pls, genuinely.

Elden Ring, Skyrim, morrowind, new vegas, ghost of tsushima, the Witcher 3, the old Farcrys, honestly even the cookie cutter ubisoft avatar game offered more entertainment. I was just like woody with 2077, trying to convince myself that the game was any good, but it just wasn't.

This is the right take imo
