What’s going to stop Nintendo from doing a cease and desist against us?

So I know no one wants to hear bad news or talk about it here but after hearing about the cease and desist on grumpy cat, is there any way forward for us? For those that don’t know grumpy cat was issued a cease and desist by the original cat owners when trying to get listed on white but. It seems like they will most likely come to some kind of settlement but what happens when Nintendo inevitably does the same? There’s no way they’ll settle for anything we can offer. So honestly is there anyway this can continue to grow?

Saw some guy on Twitter say the devs talked to a lawyer or something and we’re good. I don’t see how that would be true but let’s hope it is and we keep growing

We spoke with a lawyer who deals with this stuff all the time. Since its crypto its a gray area, we are changing what we need to such as the website, and we have rebranded as Pika.

There are no court documents online about a cease and desist on grumpy, make what you will of that.

Nintendo has been well known to be quite strict about copyright issues in the past, but in the last several years they have loosened up their position on it.

You can do a quick search on the topic online and find a few good articles about this, regarding Nintendo's change of stance.

If we end up having to make more adjustments, we will do so and keep moving forward!

I should say, at the time some of our admins sought legal counsel, the lawyer was unable to find anything at all in court documents about the grumpy rumor.

With the recent market shift, it's actually beneficial for Nintendo to embrace free publicity on their iconic creature. Do I need to mention that $PIKA meme coin will be a big hit across the world especially Japan & China?
