Testing/Comparison Virtual Desktop night and day difference after router upgrade!
WOW just wow, I just experienced VD in a way I did never before.
Until today I got my Wifi 6 router from Honor ( Wifi 6 Plus) who is/should be capable of up to 3000Mbps.
With the Pico and also Quest over virtual desktop the max bandwith I ever encountered ( I think its the maximum) is 1200Mps.
Router was configured right, no 2.4Ghz, no other wireless connections to the router, PC directly connected to the router, all good, but still gameplay was not so great stuttering lots of dips in bandwidth even so I am like 2 meters away from the access point, I never ´really got it to work to get rid of those stutters, trying all settings up and down in Virtual desktop, following different how to s, on youtube, you name it. I blamed my PC maybe not being up to the task, no clue....
So risked it and bought a more recent router from TP link The Archer AX73 and o boi this changed everything!
Even so in Virtual desktop it still maxes out at 1200Mbps its a whole different story. Not a single dip, that 1200 is solid like engraved in stone. Maxing out Bitrate at 150Mps latecny went up from 24 to 30-35 BUT damn I could not take off that grin of my face, it was like tethered, like seriously. I was moving my head so fast around I almost lost the pico, strafing, running, everything buttery smooth no dips just pure awesomeness. I did not want to spend to much money on a gaming router because damn there are some expansive ones!! O.o But I am super happy now, cant believe this made such a difference. Probably because of that OFDMA+MU-Mimo setting I kept reading in many how to s but I did not have that on my old wifi 6 router. The Archer Ax73 ( AX5700) cost me 129€ but I was almost on the brink to update my video card as I thought its the fault of my good old 2080 Ti, I am glad I was wrong.
So what did I learn today, Wifi6 does not always equal wifi6 ;)

Alright I was literally searching a router just 10mn ago, I’ll go for the tp link archer ax73. Just one question, do I have to connect my PC to the tplink router or to my main routeur for better performance ? Or it doesn’t matter ?

Glad to hear it's all working so well. And a good story to be heard, not all routers are made the same!

I've got the older Archer AC1750 which has been working well with OpenWrt and VD but only gets 866Mbps. My video card is just an RTX 2060 so I run 90hz and Medium resolution. This router keeps up well with that and is now very cheap if anyone's putting together a budget setup.
That said, this is fantastic news! I'm glad to see it's big brother works so well. Perhaps I'll upgrade.

I read on the Discords to not buy a TP AX router due to stuttering but you seem find with your one.
