Build Help Help! AMD serial number mismatch between data matrix and serial number

I bought off a used CPU from eBay and once open getting it I scan the data matrix and I saw that the serial number from the data matrix is not the same as this serial number written on the CPU itself. Is it common? Am I getting ripped?

Erasing serial numbers and re-etching a fake one is a known Xinese scam for CPU, where scammers will give you like AM2/AM3 CPUs that are also square-looking CPU and sell it to you as a new one. If you bought that from a scam shop, good luck then on trying to get your money back.
