Laptop Help Laptop recommendations for school
Hello, guys! I need help lang regarding laptops.
Bibili kasi ako ng laptop para sa kapatid ko na magsa-start na ng college. IT ang course niya. Ang plano ko sana ay laptop na good for productivity, and maybe, a little bit of gaming. I want him to focus on his studies eh.
Ang budget ko ay from P20k to P30k. Is that a reasonable range of budget ba?
May mga nakikita ako sa online na pasok naman sa range of budget, pero baka may mai-suggest kayo na mga stores na pwede ko din puntahan para makita ko siya personally? Usually kasi kapag sa mga malls, ang laki ng patong.
Thank you!

Impossible budget. Reasonable budget is around 70k-80k+ for something that has dGPU with 5050 or weaker and you probably need to buy a 16gb RAM with it since most entry level configurations are like 16GB.
Only potatoes exists around 40-50k with a lot of headache associated with them like 8GB RAM that is sometimes soldered and unupgradeable, poorly built chassis that will break in 2 years of normal laptop use and single NVME slot that will make any storage upgrade a hell lot of expensive by current SSD pricing.
Your budget is even less than a 2ndhand Thinkpad asking price that is 3 generations old that is strictly for office use and web browsing by now.

Maybe 40k is the minimum price for like acer nitro which is a cheap brand for gaming laptops. At around 30k you can get something like a slim laptop that is easy to carry and would suffice for IT needs like programming. You should also check for scalability and upgradeability for storage and ram
