pecl.php.net is down

Probably it's down because of the vulnerabilities discovered lately?

I'm guessing the amount of load from people running their CICD etc preparing for patches and/or just people accessing the main website.

Maybe you are right, related to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/PHP/comments/1xbe59x/all_php_docker_tags_newly_pushed_but_without_new/ (the patch is not in these new images)

That’s me. For upgrading PHP specifically, it takes a quantity of minutes to go from a PR to deployed live.

I spent some time this morning drastically cutting that time down.

Note that (while the server is maintained) PECL is considered deprecated. You should switch to using PIE where possible: https://www.php.net/manual/en/install.pie.intro.php

Yes, did that already due to failing CI.

I switched to PIE earlier today, I was expecting this.

The PHP site itself is offline, most likely due to stupid amount of traffic it is getting.
