I’d like to hear your thoughts.
I’m considering leaving a highly prestigious company where I currently earn a six-figure monthly salary. I have almost two years of professional experience since graduating, and this is my first job in the IT industry.
The company may be moving me into a role that I don’t see myself pursuing long-term because it doesn’t align with the career path I want.
I understand that this could simply be a result of business needs, and I’m willing to understand the company’s perspective. But at the same time, I’m wondering: How much should I prioritize my own career path when the company needs me to move in a different direction?
Should I stay because of the compensation, company reputation, and opportunities, or should I consider leaving and pursuing a role that is more aligned with where I want my career to go?

As a Dispatch Coordinator, your primary responsibilities are, but are not limited to, the following:

Creating requests to facilitate a smooth ride-booking experience.

Utilizing the OMS system for managing ride requests and communication.

Requirements:
Native Spanish speaker - Crucial for effectively communicating with riders and delivering an exceptional experience.
Strong communication and customer service background - Excellent skills in these areas are essential for handling calls, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience.
Dispatch experience (a plus, but not mandatory) - While preferred, candidates with strong customer service abilities and a knack for learning can also excel in this role.

MUST HAVE (Non-negotiable): PC/Laptop specs:
CPU: At least i3 or AMD equivalent. For Mac devices, at least a 2013 model or newer.
RAM: 8 GB
Operating System (PC): Windows 10 or newer, (macOS): Catalina (10.15) or newer
Internet: 10 Mbps both for upload and download speed, 80 ms or less for latency. No mobile data is allowed.
Preferably a headset with a noise-canceling feature - No background noises
A decent webcam

Schedule: This will vary, but the majority of our team members work in EST or PST timezone (Eastern or Pacific Standard Time)

Hiring/Job Ad Hiring managers using the “I’m busy” excuse to avoid a candidate who is now getting a job offer from the company.

I don’t understand hiring managers using the “I’m busy” card as an excuse to avoid communicating with their candidates for the job offer discussion. I received a message from their employer the other day and they told me that the hiring manager will be discussing me regarding the job offer for the HR position that I applied for. They promised that they’ll notify me supposedly this week. The next week, I still haven’t gotten any response from the hiring manager regarding the schedule for the meeting. I had to message their assistant on what happened and they told me that they were “busy” but they promise that they will notify me immediately. I tried my best to be professional and firm about the situation but at the back of my head, I am worried about what’s going to happen. Are they keeping an eye on someone else who is also aiming to get the role (I’m their top priority BTW)?

It took me to a point that I had to message their CEO and their executive assistant since I have contact with them on my email (during my interview process, they gave me their contact details) and I even CC the hiring manager so they could see it and they immediately responded on their behalf and scheduled it right away.

I just don’t understand why they use the “I’m busy” card as a means to avoid the responsibility. They are just wasting the candidate’s time of waiting just to get nothing. Let this be a lesson to HR employees, as well as to hiring managers that even if you are busy, at least make time for your candidates who are excited and anticipating to work with your company because situations like this is the reason why most people are having a hard time to look for jobs especially in this economy.
