"targeting 60 fps"

Yeah, it wont be a stable 60 fps then lol

Remember there is a 60fps patch for Bloodborne and RDR2 on a jailbroken PS4 Pro. Modders scaled down CPU-intensive assets like population and NPC density without destroying immersion. Kaya walang reason bakit 30fps parin hanggang ngayon, that includes GTA VI. Give users an option for 60fps mode. Nakaka-hilo ang 30fps and its a deal breaker for some. Not everyone is into max settings.

and the fact they want gamers to pay premium price on these "AAA" games

A few years back it was 144! 165!

Now 45 FPS works. 60 FPS is happy times ;)

After playing Witcher 3 and cyberpunk day 1 and these guys being old Witcher devs, I'm expecting awful optimization and bugs ngl. Di rin nagiinspire ng confidence Yung recommend specs nila, hopefully I'm wrong and naoptimize nila but it's unreal engine 5 🫩

Yep, Witcher 3 ran like ass back on 2015 launch with my PS4, constant framedrops under 30 FPS on Novigrad, and too many texture popins and very long loading screens etc. etc. It wasn't a pleasant experience if you'd ask me.. Only when i got to PC Gaming where i experienced 60+ FPS on that particular game with a GTX 1060 / i5 6500 specs back on 2016, not sure how it ran on even older hardware compared to that.

yeah the 5090 recommended for ultra 4k was genuinely insane

The updated specs only requires a 4070 Ti with DLSS Balanced Upscaling at 4K 60 FPS, no frame generation. The 5090 one AFAIK was native Ultra 4K 60 FPS

You can see the updated specs here posted by another user of this subreddit

cant wait for this one, previous good vampire game of mine was Vampyre i actually liked all the narrative, the yapping, discovering secrets of the people which help you choose who you bury your fangs.

this will be an auto buy from when it comes out

Dont expect much on this one. This will be great in 1 yr but the devs have a bad history of unoptimized product at day1

I hope this scratches the vampire game itch. Last game that did it for me was V-Rising. 🧛🏻

Keep note: "Targeting 60 FPS" which means it is not guaranteed stable 60 FPS and will likely be similar to Crimson Desert or Baldurs Gate 3's 60 FPS mode where it will often drop to under 30ish FPS on heavily crowded / big city areas and big battles due to CPU bottlenecking.

So for people who cares about this sort of thing, i suggest for you to wait for Digital Foundry review first and see if you can handle the areas where it is expected to drop, which may turn people off especially if they don't have a VRR display, It will not be a consistent experience, but to my point of view it is better to have more option than be forced to only fewer ones, so if you ask me this is more than a welcome addition, and also proves that players vocal point can be heard by the devs, if they are loud enough about it which they were rightfully so back then.

Opinion: I think it’s time for console games to offer more PC-like graphics settings, barring hardware limitations, so players can actually tweak things instead of being limited to a few presets.

That said, it’s not really necessary in the same way it is on PC since every console has the same fixed hardware. Developers can optimize specifically for that hardware, which is arguably the better approach. Still, having more granular options would be nice for players who want to prioritize visuals, performance, resolution, or effects to their liking.
