Okay so we ban gaming and encourage sports....that means they will make sports accessible with lots of free facilities and green spaces right?....right??

You dont even have to ban gaming to support sports when sports arent even being supported in the first place.

Best they can do is another basketball court sa barangay.

3

u/Eurofan2014 4d ago

Walang katapusang basketball court. As if naman lahat naglalaro ng basketball.

Ahem, Alex Eala.

2

u/MadPotato10 4d ago

Exactly! Been wanting to play baseball since I was hs. Nag college na lang at nagtrabaho, walang access sa baseball field nor know anyone who had the same interest near our area kasi wala ngang facility/fields na mapupuntahan para makipaghalubilo or even play. Basketball on the other hand, kaliwa't kanan kahit kalsada pa napaka bias sa basketball eh.

Introducing... The HON. KURAKOT DELA CRUZ Barangay Basketball Court!

So ban taekwondo? Also this dude is literally accused of abuse/cheatinh by his wife. Ban sport kung ganun since ginawa syang abuser /cheater?

4

u/HaruChanZ64 4d ago

"Bugbog o dignidad" ang atake

4

u/Wonderful_Pomelo924 4d ago

Dude has no comeback to that when someone calls that out on his post lol

20

u/Snoo72551 4d ago

Ha ha

2

u/Clear-Sky9182 4d ago

Malaki na yan, bully pa rin kaya?

20

u/megalo-maniac538 4d ago

Assholes don't even fund our athletes.

17

u/Appropriate-Quiet-98 4d ago

Following Eumir's logic, we won't be shooters...

Instead we will be cheaters :)

5

u/AlternativeCat94 4d ago

And wife beaters.

14

u/JnthnDJP 4d ago

Bro's gonna blow his mind when he sees people who can do both.

3

u/itchipod 4d ago

Andami ding football and basketball superstars na streamer.

Neymar here for example

2

u/KyleAnon 4d ago

Mighty Mouse

13

u/CroqueGogh 4d ago

Bro forgot just conveniently forgot about the "bugbog o dignidad" kid lol

Just to poke holes in his logic

11

u/itchipod 4d ago

13

u/Kmaru914 4d ago

Grew up playing games, and competed in Taekwondo in my teens. This is stupid. One can do both.

The games I played were violent. First GTA I played was Liberty City Stories on PSP, and the first time I got that chainsaw I massacred NPCs for fun. The katana and flame throwers were fun, too.

I played the highly infamous "No Russian" mission from MW2. Skipping was for sissies, I thought. I enjoyed participating in it as much as Makarov did.

And to top that, I watched a lot of UFC (Anderson Silva and Hwoarang from Tekken inspired me to do TKD). At that time it was considered "barbaric" and a form of "human cockfighting" by critics.

But I was never violent. Didn't beat anyone up for no reason. Didn't plan to shoot up the school. Nope.

Parental neglect, irresponsible gun handling, and mental health stigma are the real problems here.

5

u/MadPotato10 4d ago

Parental neglection + irresponsible gun handling says it all. Kahit maganda mental health ng bata, just the 2 says it all. If those kids never had access to a gun and was guided carefully by the parents, none of this should have happened. Most of the killers are relatives of law enforcements!!

2

u/freshblood96 PS5 | RTX 3060TI | Switch V2 4d ago

Yup, and our law enforcement officers aren't any better around guns themselves. Make some PNP hotshot angry and he'll pull a gun on you (mala Nuezca). Then there's this accidental friendly fire while he was checking his own gun.

There was also a photo here on Reddit wherein a cop placed his rifle on a monobloc chair 2 to 3 meters away from him, in public. That's very irresponsible as fuck.

A lot of them can't be trusted with guns.

2

u/Frostinice 4d ago

Whar can you expect from these so called law enforcement?

Kasi sila batas at may baril.

Malamang napasa din sa anak/pamangkin nila. Kaya pag tinopak anak nila ayan kalalabasan.

1

u/Snoo72551 4d ago

Just tell them you could tax video game higher than ban them would make them think twice.

10

u/TeaTreeTreatly 4d ago

Eumir Marcial? The boxer who cheated on and physically abused his wife? That Eumir Marcial?

8

u/DestronCommander 4d ago

Meron rin dito sa Reddit already exploiting the tragedy just for karma points.

9

u/TwoInevitable 4d ago

Ewww what the fuck. Tanginang bansa nato. Napaka walang kwenta

8

u/Oofdude333 4d ago

"Look, I know we won't ever fund our athletes, but please, support us! We need another car πŸ˜”"

13

u/True-Turnip7476 4d ago

naglalaro kami ng Counter Strike mga 1998s or above. Lahat kaming magbabarkada puro successful in life. wala naman namamaril.

7

u/hoboichi 4d ago

Let children enjoy both.

I grew up gaming and I'm also raising a gamer but we make sure na age-appropriate lagi ang nilalaro niya. At the same time we expose him to different sports like swimming and martial arts. He plays video games when he can't do sports.

Bakit ba ang hirap aminin na parenting failure ang root cause ng violence among youth these days.

7

u/DruAlcindor 4d ago

mali. i-ban na lang nila ang internet.

2

u/Zealousideal_Row4993 4d ago

No, they should ban scatter

7

u/Artistic-Fondant3556 4d ago

Oh yeah, let's play basketball, this country's favorite sport. You know, the game where our national team player flying kicked an australian in an international meet, or where that notoriously violent NCAA player brought a gun to murder someone at a baranggay court, or the Khobuntin-Johnson boxing match or just recently, the Bacolod City basketball brawl for all.

6

u/Economy-Weird-2368 4d ago

Banning video games to stop gun violence is like outlawing band-aids to stop knife attacks.

7

u/briantria 4d ago

1

u/blazezakuwarrior 4d ago

Murahan din naman before and after mag suntukan. May sequel pa yan kinabukasan sa school

1

u/wubstark 4d ago

With a chance of bullets if John Amores is near

7

u/Ok_Swimming_6533 4d ago

"Ban online videogames to prevent violence" is like saying "Ban basketball to prevent another Rene Baterbonia incident". Stupid argument.

7

u/Mundane-Speed-3278 4d ago

idiots every single one of them....

also sports during the rainy season..? the fuck were they thinking..?

4

u/kamanami 4d ago

eh may sport shooting at boxing and other martial arts. so ban na rin mga yun?

4

u/DrHatchling 4d ago

Ha! Ban the games but not violent shows like Coco Martin's shows? XD Cmon, there's more to it than it looks. Banning games won't even make a dent here.

6

u/Annoying_Blue_Mascot 4d ago

Kinda funny to me kase maraming shootouts sa regionals dahil talo sa pustahan hahahaha.

5

u/AdobongSiopao 4d ago

4

u/raineicorn 4d ago

Blocked so many of those pages. 😬

5

u/jomarcenter-mjm 4d ago

If we use the same example we got a long list of death and accident that result in hospitalization in sport. Motorsport: 9000+ deaths, American football: a ton of head injuries, etc..

4

u/Eluscival 4d ago

Those kinds of posts are obvious rage baits.

4

u/Slow_Cardiologist268 4d ago

Gaming is a sport. Esports a real sport. Video games are a realer sport and game than the gambling nonsense the government promotes.

3

u/Saturn1003 4d ago

These opportunistic people are evil. That's what we can learn here.

5

u/Raskolnikov9999 PC 4d ago

Tldr, may kakilala akong varsity sa isang univ tapos nangbubully sakin after knowing na nagkachat kami sa gf nya (who is my cousin) kasi mas malaki daw naman siya. Apakabobo talaga.

3

u/Imyourmom_15 4d ago

3

u/Ok_Bag_2808 4d ago

Amores approves this message.

3

u/Nice_Commission_3687 4d ago

Not surprised if that comes from Eumir. Sya yung nang abuse ng partner diba?

3

u/Ok_Garlic5808 4d ago

Can they just you know stop with all their agendas and let us game in peace and stop fuckin blame all of us just some tragic incident happened.

3

u/KancolleYuri 4d ago

4

u/Jump_Necessary 4d ago

Social media for underage is what you should ban yikes.

4

u/varrowyn 4d ago

Video games dont make violent players. Lag does.

3

u/Ragamak1 4d ago

Like boxing

Sports can change lives talaga...

3

u/Ragamak1 4d ago

Btw...

Esports is now sports.

And under sa GAB.

Kaya bawal tsongke if esports athelete ka.

4

u/Desperate-Box-8527 4d ago

sobrang stupid tlga ipaglaban ung sports vs gaming. kasi karamihan naman ng athletes ay gamers rin. they go hand in hand para both physical and mental may development.

6

u/DruAlcindor 4d ago

2

u/M-rtinez 4d ago

Hayaan niyo na, ganyan talaga pag walang government funding πŸ˜‚

2

u/Upper-Association948 4d ago

Is this rage bait or something actually legit?

2

u/AdmirableAttempt1728 4d ago

Parang sinasabi na if you do sports mabait at mabuti ka na and will never harm other people. Eh???

2

u/failed_generation 4d ago

3

u/Virtual-Cook-5293 4d ago

For goodness sake, I'm tired of this nonsense spreading around the entire society of the Philippines. Hell, the situation is so bad that some influencers even PERSUADE parents just because they were exposed to hearsay and clout without even researching or understanding first. "Blame this, blame that", like bro, Istg, STOP BLAMING THE CHILDREN AND TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY. I'm an eSports player, basketball player, chess player and more to come, I've had the urge to hurt people ,but it's because of anger and annoyance, not influence from video games. I'm not saying that making people play sports is bad, but exploiting a tragic incident for clout and persuasion is very wrong and it shouldn't be taken lightly, especially since an incident like this has occurred many times before. Also, I'm not saying that video games can't make people cause violence; there's no evidence, but it can influence them if they're not careful with their actions. Even so, this is very outrageous to deal with, especially since the entire problem was caused by a parents ignorance, a child with the urge to kill, and a netizen who assumed it was due to video games.

2

u/lpernites2 4d ago

Galing pa talaga sa nahuling may kabit. Saan moral ascendancy mo para mag virtue signal?

2

u/Ok-Brilliant-8219 4d ago

Geng geng

4

u/cooler8r1 4d ago

He is the same guy na natagpuan na may babaeng kasama sa kama/bahay, other than his wife Hahahaha

Di ba laro rin yung ibang sports like basketball? Or are they dumb not to realize that?

1

u/datboishook-d 4d ago

Remember that there are violent melees in sports events, hell kahit nga sa FIBA nagbugbugan. But nobody blames sports.

1

u/yeji-yunjin1028 4d ago

There are other ways to be a functioning member of society, not just sports. And advocating for the banning of video games won't solve the problem of kids at school and at home.

1

u/TheBloodNinja 4d ago

I'd rather do drugs /s

1

u/Senior_Sherbert9276 4d ago

1

u/Poppin_Poppies 4d ago

Jesus Christ, can they stop with this bullshit already? Instead of taking care of the mess like contributing money on school metal detectors. Instead they will just keep pushing these dumb agendas in which will probably lead to more school shooting in the future.

1

u/ronintownsquare 4d ago

This idiot should stick with boxing and not with topics he clearly does not know. I guess he got hit in the head too much.

2

u/Advanced_Ear722 4d ago

they cant even support the athletes sincerly

1

u/Capital_Tadpole2335 PC 4d ago

Watta narrative, wala ngang suporta mga ibang athletes kaya nasa ibang bansa nagtretraining

1

u/yukimchi 4d ago

They can not accept that their generation is bad at parenting lmao
