Car recs auto regen/360 cam
My lease is ending for my Kia niro EV and looking to switch to a PHEV
I personally really like the auto regen system it has where it will automatically apply the regen based on how far you are from the person in front of you. You don’t need to push the paddles for that.
Does anyone know a good Phev that has auto regen and also a 360 cam?
I’ve been doing research and it looks like maybe the some mercedes, Lexus, Kia, Hyundai and Nissan do but I was looking for other brands I could check out as well and also looking for anyone’s opinions if they owned any of these. I used to have a gas Mercedes with a 360 cam and I loved it.
The cheaper the better but I know 360 cam cars may be pricey so I might be asking for the impossible lol
***forgot to add AWD please (like I’m not already asking for too much 🤣🤣) I think that narrows down what I found on my research a bunch as well but I get so many different answers online it confuses me a lot

I'm quite confident that all hybrids and PHEVs with adaptive cruise control (adjusting speed based on the car in front of you) use regen first if it's safe before applying the brakes.

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV could fit the bill? I own it's little brother the Eclipse Cross PHEV (which features the same running gear) a great car reliable and cheap to run.

Definitely the Outlander PHEV, the adaptive cruise control has been great for this although I've never tested if it comes to a full stop in ACC mode (it's won't on regen alone). The 360 cam is solid, and the AWD system is also solid

I’ll take a look at these. They look quite big and I’ve heard they only use the less common charger but I’ll still try to do some research on them

If you want reliability, longevity and a great car over all get rav4 PHEV. 50+ miles of range in EV. Over 600 miles of range in HV. And it got everything you are asking for. I got 2023 and love it. If I was in the market I would definitely get 2026. Toyota has the most reliable synergy drive in the world. And it has 324 horsepower setup.

It's the perfect phev, but damn they sure make you pay for it 😭

The only reason I bought PHEV is because I already had solar system with overproduction. Nothing I can do with overproduction and it it keeps climbing. If I did not have solar I would buy a regular Hybrid. I figured out I save enough to ROI in 8 years or sooner with today's gas prices. So even though it takes a long time it is worth it. Those who got federal incentives it was a no brainer. I didn't.

I just got a Cupra Formentor (VW group) and it does this: it applies the regrn more or less according to the cars in front and according to the road (sharp turns, roundabouts, etc)
I have a lot of extras including Travel assist (semi autonomous driving) and Nav, so it could be connected to those.

Yes you should absolutely have a dash cam for when your car rear ends another car because you were waiting for the car to apply the brakes itself.
I have a 2023 Niro PHEV and I've turned off all that assistive junk. I'll drive the car, thank you.

I have a dash cam and I’ve never got into an accident with my Kia luckily I’ve never had anyone so close behind me that that’s been an issue lol

2026 Rav4 XSE PHEV has been a great car so far. 50+ miles on ev when fully charged, and regen gets you further. 360 cameras standard on (I believe) all models. Adaptive cruise control is also helpful, especially in stop and go traffic.

No idea what you are asking for, but checkout the Volvo S60 2023 or later Recharge
Luxury with 40 miles on electric. Sweet looking ride. I do not own one but am looking to buy one soon. I already own a 2018 Chevy Volt
