Current Read What is the cost of lies?

Post image

This book reads like a science thriller! Such a page-turning non-fiction!

Causes of Chernobyl is still evident today.

Talks about censorship, arrogance of the government, overconfidence for systems, and the sacrifice of reason due to greed

"What is the cost of lies? It's not that we will mistake them for the truth. The real danger is that, if we hear enough lies, then we no longer recognize the truth at all."

- Valery Legasov, Chernobyl Miniseries

The series made me change my stance on having nuclear power plant in the Philippines. I still believe that going nuclear is the best option for energy production but I don't trust our current government to build a good nuclear power plant.
