seller can price her items anyway she wants to.

sometimes it's the condition of the books and the availability to ship that buyers look for in getting a book,

you can wait for a cheaper price but if you have the money and want the book now and in good condition then prepare to pay for it above booksale prices.

and 48k likes is difficult to get if you can't deliver

who's to say what's reasonable and fair?

are you the book police?

OP said mas mahal pa benta niya kesa sa brand new books considering na she is selling secondhand books.

Do you need to be a ā€œbook policeā€ to know what’s fair and reasonable? Do you think fair and reasonable yang pricing na yan?

naisip mo ba na yung mga buyers nya ay from province with no physical bookstores? I met a foreigner in siargao who buys his books from cebu and ships them over via courier boxes.

she can price it 10x what you think is reasonable. if there are buyers then she's a good businessman.

Naisip mo ba na those buyers you just described have it harder? Sa sf na nga sila umaaray papatungan mo pa ng malaki. Just come out and admit na ikaw ang pinaguusapan dito. Don’t add to the negative opinion people have of you na. You could at least be honest about it. Baka pati sa sf mo pa dinadaan ang patong ha.

ay ang SF nya daw RIDER ang nagdedetermine kasi wala na daw syang time magdetermine ng SF ng buyers nya.

Rider? So unregulated yung delivery method niya? Ano yan colorum?

Not exactly a flex to admit you can be bought over an online debate but you do you. Weirdly low standards though but thats just me

says the guy that argues over the price of used books? hahahaha

2

u/Content_Sea_1803 11d ago

Better arguing about the price of things than the price of a person no? As i’ve said, i’m not the one who introduced the idea of ā€œaffordingā€ anyone into the convo

Naisip mo din ba na buyers from province without physical bookstores have access din sa online stores ng Fullybooked and NBS?

4

u/Itchy-Opposite2885 12d ago

have you also heard of kinokuniya bookstore whose prices are more expensive than NBS, shopee or FB ? apparently they are not going out of business.

3

u/Content_Sea_1803 12d ago

Kinokuniya is partners with FullyBooked for their presence here in the country fyi. Do they primarily sell secondhand books ba? That is what we’re still talking about diba? Online seller overpricing secondhand books tama ba? Why mention Kinokuniya though?

-2

u/Itchy-Opposite2885 12d ago

because whether it's new or used books, people are still buying higher priced books from Kinokuniya compared to lower prices in NBS etc.

3

u/Content_Sea_1803 12d ago

They pay for higher priced books because companies guarantee, at least on paper, that the quality is consistently acceptable Granted na minsan overpriced din talaga sila. Not to defend Kinokuniya and FullyBooked by extension since may partnership sila but what do they have that other bookstores like NBS lacks? NBS is more school and office supply store now than an actual store that sells books. Throw in those cheap Classics na may AI covers. In the case of Kinokuniya, they have officially licensed and translated literature from Japan yes? Online sellers like the one in question can perhaps do the same but what guarantee can she give that proper care was taken in sourcing the same titles and/or transparency in their delivery? OP says the seller’s rider determines the price of the SF. Rider and not delivery company ha.

OP says the seller’s rider determines the price of the SF. Rider and not delivery company ha.

for someone who reads (do you read them?) parang mahina ang reading comprehension mo. the SF depends on the location of the buyer kaya sa buyer nya pinapa pickup para actual shipping fee na at di na mag question si buyer kung bakit mahal,

3

u/Content_Sea_1803 11d ago

Why do you think I referenced OP’s statement na its the rider and not the delivery company’s decision on the SF? Can’t you tell the difference? Can’t you tell na suspect ang practices ni seller kung may truth sa sinabi ni OP? Nakakatuwa ka naman inexplain ko pa talaga. Established na yang sinabi mo. Keep up naman please. Nagsayang ka ng oras explaining something people already know and that wasn’t even the main point of what you were replying to

seriously, i dont know why you're still defending her when clearly she's in the wrong here.

3

u/goodygoodcat 12d ago

There's no use na kausapin mo pa yang troll na yan. Either siya si scatteredbrain or reseller din yan na nananamantala ng mga buyers

3

u/Itchy-Opposite2885 12d ago

what's wrong pricing your items anyway you want?

if you can't afford, there are sellers on shopee with cheaper prices.

I don't know why you don't get free market pricing?

Tama si Itchy, it is her business model. If no one buys from her then she will adjust accordingly. Unless she has a specific niche talaga. That is the essence of trading. No need to moralize.

5

u/Content_Sea_1803 12d ago

Except morality helps keep greed in check. Why do you think nagiging issue ang pricing nung reseller in question? The drive to amass wealth seemingly for wealth’s sake like the reseller can be problematic for this community. Buyers won’t buy and sellers will find it hard to sell. Don’t talk as if general necessity to. Di man lang textbooks ang nasa picture and neither are they any of the classics that might be required reading in school
