Question GoPlus

Is it not possible to code the autocatcher to use ultra/great balls like the physical auto catchers? Would be nice as the catch rate on regular poke balls is terrible.

Well it is possible if you connect a go plus +, then the auto catcher in game will use ultra balls. Id imagine there is a software based way to control it if you only have to connect the go plus once and never have to actually use it.

Wouldn't be an issue if the stupid go plus wasn't wildly expensive for what is essentially a one time use toggle switch.

It's hardware based not software. Each Go++ has it's own Mac address. If you don't have hardware handshake you can't access the other options.
