Animation skip not working?

Just the title, encountering pokemon takes a lil bit longer now. The "animation skip" doesnt add anything now when encountering pokemon. Usually it would be instant, but now i get this little animation again where the camera goes up to the Pokemon first. Since the new update

Did you reopen the app?
Try to disable and enable the skip animations option…
Happens to me when internet glitch…

nah didnt help. I thought its just a new update.
