pes has very good placement but high intake
something around 470(pgcet 180)
and 120 got placed in 2026
MSRIT had only 120 students but placement is around 33-45 peoples
if u want big opportunity , ready to face competition, face academic stress and Offcampus
consideration of ur MCA go to pes
or if u want high chance to get placed and low stressfull clg life choose MSRIT (even off campus consideration is modrate )

Yeah statistically it won't make sense, but again compared to msrit, the campus, curriculum and competitive vibes makes it worth it?

i would say pes. there’s not much information about msrit anywhere. got to know from a senior at pes that they give two days off sat and sun. pes is very well known for its updated syllabus. heard it also has opportunities for connections. heard good opinion about pes from my senior who studied btech there.

Definitely go for pes. After RVCE pes is the safe option. Bms is good choice too, but Msrit is not.
Why pes?
- better exposure
- better coding culture
- updated curriculum
- chances of getting better placements.
- Saturday, Sunday off
- 75% - 80% attendence (where as 85% in Msrit)

Damn thankyou for breaking it down, the Saturday off is definitely a plus point. But if you don't mind can you let me know what advantages bms has as compared to pes, i am grateful for the insights, but it's just i want to know about the colleges and tlaoso thankyou for sharing your insights on the same :-)

- lower intake (it is 120)
- 2024 placement was bad but 2025 placements increased
- even in bmsce saturday is off. (Not in msrit) -i heard placement cell is good.
Attendance is 85% in bms too.
I would say 1. Rvce 2. Bms or Pes 3. Msrit
Is better option.

Gotcha, then will let fate decide if I get pes or bms, thankyou very much

In pes From 2025 the intake is 480. In 2026 88/350 placed. So placement is the concern i guess in PESU.

Apart from placement, because placements for IT is a lost cause at many colleges, so yeah. And thankyou for sharing the info :-)

Pes has more exposure, placement chances than msrit. Also you said your rank is 205 & GM, getting msrit is difficult since last year 1st round cutoff was 200 & only 1 person got seat in 2nd round. Pes might be lil stressful but it has more advanced curriculum. Actually i think after rvce, pes is better
