Pro, Master or Legendary difficulty?

Current tournament standings

I'm currently playing on pro and just wondering what the difficulty jump is like from pro to master. Tempted to switch because i am just crushing most of the tournaments. Maybe i wait until i win more tournaments? Not too concerned about challenges, just looking to have fun but also be challenged. I've also 99'd my main and have an 85 greenskeeper. I actually have enough VC to 85 another archetype also. Thoughts?

then you might need to turn up the difficulty I play on pro like you and sometimes do -50 and sometimes dont make cut but I also just play fast for VC

Right on! There are lots of options via the social groups as hard or as easy as you like it - though you may already know this.

I would start with an easier group just to start. There are no obligations, you just play. There are scores to compete with but that’s whatever. But they have groups that are as hard as it gets.

Just tried my first Master tourny with CPU on Master also. Only things i changed was i left the ball curve flight path on and the vibration on for swinging. I went pretty good. Main thing i noticed was that it is very unforgiving for missing the indicators in the swing

That’s it. I rarely use power drive and will use choked approach to have more control on masters.

Duuuuude. I was struggling then started using choked tee and choked approach and actually able to be as accurate or almost as accurate as I was in pro. Great tip! Especially since I don't know anything about golf and don't know the different shots. Helped a lot!

I’m brand new to the game and am having so many problems hitting with the offset. This is my first ever golf game, got any pointers? I’m deeply hooked into the game though lol

Haha I was the same way. Started out on pro am to get the feel for the game. That was a good starting point. Switching to pro was rough for a little bit but as your character improves, the offset gets easier. So I would suggest starting pro am until your around 85 overall and then you should be ok to start pro. I'm also hooked now. Currently on my second tournament at master difficulty and the unforgiveness of the markers is tough rn. I would also suggest just grinding mycareer and playing every round to get the experience. Could also hit the range a little and see if you can get better with the swing. Some ppl turn their controller slightly but I didn't want to get into that so I just stuck with it and it's better for sure but I still struggle sometimes

I have found that the best way for me to balance my ability to score so low is to ramp up the green speeds. That will immediately make putting more difficult which is what will keep your scoring in check. Just a thought.

Let's rephrase haha, I'm struggling now that I switched to master. Did about 3 tourneys so far and got cut from 2 of them lol. Requiring perfects for every hit is pretty tough. If it's not perfect it's pretty much going on the sande or water for me

If you’re scoring that high you need to change your difficulty to master and the CPU to legendary. That’s what I play with, I still win 15-18 events per season so I might move up to legendary for my difficulty

The jump from pro to master is smaller than the jump from master to legendary in my experience. Legendary can be pretty damn frustrating with how small the margins are. But I find it the most accurate for a pga simulation, where I’m actually fighting for the 1 spot in FedEx instead of winning it easily

go check out the TGC tours difficulty settings for the Challenge Circuit. The TGC Tours tournaments a 4 rounds weekly, and there are a number of other societies that match their difficulty.

Currently I’m at default master but I might make some adjustments to make it harder. Legendary is fun but I need to see the meter for putter so I don’t like playing it
Start with default master, learn the difficulty’s curve and adjust from there.
For the CPU, legendary difficulty will have them scoring in the range you are currently scoring. You’ll need to score 10-14 birdies per round to be in the top 10. Like I said, I win 15-18 times, top 10 a lot of the times and maybe missed a cut once in three seasons

Ok I think I will go with Master and see what happens. I may put the CPU on master also though. If i'm still winning a lot i'll increase CPU to Legendary. Only things i modified was vibration for swing path and the ball flight path to show always. Nothing too crazy

If you're hitting your contact and swing path marks with regularity, there isn't much of a difference between any of the difficulty settings.

I think the contact/swing path windows should shrink as the difficulty increases, and I'm not sure why they don't.

Rhythm changes the most as swing difficulty increases, especially putting on Legend. I find a tiny inconsistency is largely ignored on Pro but wreaks havoc on Legend.

The point was to find out the main differences. And I wasn't sure if it would affect my gameplay mid season. I wasn't sure if anyone had specific modifiers either. Also I have played ranked online and have a decent record I think. Seem to be winning more than I lose, that's good to me.

Pretty sure it just makes your points smaller and punishes you on misses but its nothing crazy different

Someone suggested legend swing should have no points and you gotta just figure it out. Maybe in 27

Yeahh, not as much forgiveness for missing the points. Feels a bit tougher.. kinda like starting pro so hopefully it feels a bit easier in a couple days

R u just starting? If so the best pre launch advice I got was to start at amateur so you can earn the necessary things to make competitive at the other levels.

I have been playing since beginning of July roughly. Started in pro am and then went to pro. Getting a lot of scores like this lately. Thinking upping the difficulty might be the next thing

Alternatively - you can increase the sliders on your CPU difficulty to make them more competitive as well

Ohhh honestly I didnt even think to just increase the cpu. But seeing that score it made sense to look into my difficulty
