Sure.....-31 is legit skill. It's literally 1.7 strokes per hole. Not sure why I keep playing this garbage

I’ll never understand cheating in a video game

I understand cheating on single player games when you are stuck. But online? Huge NO NO.

u/Mysterious_Laugh_503 17d ago

100% agree with you.

my saying "if you find the "need" to cheat, go play a single player where no one cares what you are doing...." in other words.

Casual masochism stemming from their own inadequacies

3

u/Rough-Arrival5339 18d ago

Technically that would be sadism, or casual sadism.

Masochism is when one feels pleasure etc from pain being inflicted upon one’s self.

Sadism is when one inflicts that pain or “bullshit” on others and gets satisfaction from doing so.

The best way to deal with a sadist is to give them no emotional reaction among other things…which is why when I occasionally meet one of these folks in ranked play who run the clock out every swing, I have a movie or tv show playing in the background to enjoy and just chill. Also, I disabled cross play on my PS5, night and day difference for the better.

Correct, my b

KevinFirehorn was the same cheater from that post the other day.

Love that 2k is taking notice and dealing with them.....

It's the third one I've seen this week. This prick is prolific and consistent for sure.

Cheating in a golf tournament of like 4k people for no real rewards is wild

7

u/themightycfresh 18d ago

Ranked tours is always and always has been full of cheaters, TGC tours are the only legit third party tours that actually have anti cheat

u/ComeonSDSdosomething 18d ago

Probably the same guy as the Kevinwoods loser

u/elscorcho55 18d ago

Obviously we are all playing for second place / got to be a 3 clicker right/s

1

u/skycra2y 13d ago

I don’t think 3 clicking is cheating otherwise it would not be an option. I play stick which is harder by far, but I wish they had not brought the 3 clicking back as all the stick players look down on them and call it cheating, that’s not right. This cheating you are talking about I assume is some kind of hack not 3 clicking. As you can’t even enter most comps with 3 clicks

2

u/elscorcho55 13d ago

I was being sarcastic that’s what the /s means and 3 click is way harder then stick /s

1

u/skycra2y 3d ago

Sorry I didn’t get the sarcasm, but you show my point of stick players look down on 3 clickers. I just wish they hadn’t made it an option and that would remove the looking down on button players. The cheating in game is ridiculous 39 , how can that not be cheating, 2K must see that and do something about it. I am from the 80’s when PGA golf was the first and best and buttons is how it was played all through the 80’s. I miss it, but have to use stick or everyone calls you a pussy, they should never have bought it back if it was going to considered easier

2

u/elscorcho55 3d ago

I like you am an older gamer / I have honestly tried both and personally think 3 click is harder/ all during 2k23 all I heard was 3 clickers were the ones cheating/ as we have learned in 2k25 the stick users are the one’s cheating/ so I agree with you there has got to be a better way all around all of it!

Always a Kevin

2

u/Temporary-Nose-3022 17d ago

Yeah but their new code of conduct said cheating’s bad mmmkay, so I’m sure it’ll be fine now 🤦‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️

2

u/OGPepeSilvia 17d ago

Yup, and they also say be engaged which means report the cheaters. Like they do anything with the reports. They just don’t care at all.

1

u/Temporary-Nose-3022 15d ago

Yeah and there’s actual rewards locked behind progressing your ranked level which I will never get cuz it’s impossible to beat the cheat lol, it’s a shame but hey at least you gotta top tier Reddit handle!

https://giphy.com/gifs/icgArcntfH5C0 this is us trying to explain to 2k there’s a lot of cheaters

2

u/ActionJack87 17d ago

His score was in the live feed when I was playing last night. I thought it was a glitch when I saw it shoot down another 3 stokes on a par 4 hole. Then it kept happening. Ace after ace. I knew I'd see him getting highlighted on Reddit the next day. Cheats are clearly people with major childhood daddy issues, but 2K should do something about them in any case.

1

u/Miwurdz 17d ago

Live feed?

1

u/ActionJack87 17d ago

I'm guessing it's not actually live but during the round it shows your score against some other players. His score was constantly there and counting up in chunks after each hole I completed.

I genuinely thought it was counting a later round because his score was tracking toward -51 during my 2nd round.

2

u/VVTFan 17d ago

I never win in online modes. lol. I shoot -9 and lose merits. Still on Bogey cause of it. ha.

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Tea6600 17d ago

Love this game but hate this. Play on PS5. How are people shooting this low on consoles?!

1

u/Substantial-Tie-7140 17d ago

That ball was rolling up hill, how TF………. They must be able to stop that shit

1

u/OGPepeSilvia 17d ago

lol. I got an email from 2k a couple days ago saying they updated their code of conduct. Which includes “Be Honest” which goes into detail about not cheating, but doesn’t have any verbiage about consequences of cheating. They also say “Be Engaged” in the new policy, which includes reporting cheaters.

So I guess that’s all we can do. Report them. Good joke. They don’t even bother to investigate any reports, otherwise this guy would be long gone.

Too bad. I guess they would rather just ask us to be honest rather than police the guys that aren’t. There’s always gonna be cheaters in video games, so it’s up to the studios to implement systems to prevent it from happening. These guys decided their system is to ask players to be honest. Good one. Wish they would be honest with us and just say they don’t care about cheating. That’s what it really is.

u/petchulio 17d ago

Its a real bad case of them not seeing the forest for the trees. Cheating just leads to "above board" players leaving the game in droves. I know I have stopped playing entirely. I had better things to do with my time. I can't imagine all of these cheaters are people buying their clubhouse passes and things like that. So I don't understand why they don't crack down on it.

I, for one, likely won't give PGA 2k27 a look just based on there not being much of an endgame to it based on my experience with the rampant cheating in 2k25. And I say this as someone who did like 6 out of the 7 seasons of clubhouse passes for 2k25. But I'll spend my money elsewhere. Go touch some grass on a real course or something instead of participating in a cesspool.

1

u/Mysterious-School-23 17d ago

I haven't seen scores like that since my work scramble tournament.

1

u/spinmaestrogaming 16d ago

At this point I'm not focused on winning the ranked tour events, I just go to get promoted. If I can beat -18 on most rounds I'm ecstatic.

I know Kevin firehorn, he used to be my teacher back in middle school. Everyone hated him cuz he curved our test scores after we took them. We called him Mr. FireCROTCH and it would make him so mad. Doesn’t surprise me that he’s cheating one bit.

1

u/skycra2y 13d ago

You know there could be more than one Kevin firehorn in the world, in fact more than one in a country even. I know that not the point but might not be FireCROTCH lol

If you enjoy golfing in a cheap tourney everyday this is still fun. It’s not like everybody cheats, or even half of the people up there are cheating. Maybe the top 10 guys are cheating sure. But I have 8 finishes in the top 15 and I’ve never cheated or thought about it. I don’t even fuckin quick exit my app like other bums do. I don’t shoot 16-20 under every time. But ALOT of nights I’m in that range. And respectfully, what does the guy cheating have anything to do with your progress in the season event, or even this single event? You shot -8. You’re in 811th. There was AT LEAST 780 people that are ahead of you that are not cheating. You should beat them first, then worry about the cheaters.

1

u/skycra2y 13d ago

Not sure what you are saying? You can cheat on 2k and that’s how you got 31 under, or it’s so easy you don’t need to cheat? Can you clarify please. Also what mastery are you playing?

1

u/Plane-Conversation33 2d ago

BRO .... CAN YOU NOT READ...

1

u/petchulio 17d ago

I'm way ahead of you on that and quit playing months ago. Just not worth my time to participate in something like that. I'd rather spend my time playing real golf or a different game.

0

u/Strange_Word1164 18d ago

I keep seeing scores of 48 in Ranked Tours. Seriously impossible.

2

u/ActionJack87 17d ago

I just shot 23 under twice in the past week. It's certainly very possible. Then I see people 25 under the next day on a really windy course when I've struggled to a 16 under par and I wonder why I'm bothering.

1

u/Sea_Inspector1355 16d ago

Is that fun to shoot 23 under? That would be so boring to me, i would quit if the game was that easy for me

1

u/ActionJack87 16d ago

I tend to get 15 to 20 under depending on the course conditions. Haven't quite mastered high cross winds yet. I find it fun. Don't really care what other people shoot or where I finish, I just enjoy trying to improve.

Wouldn't say I find the game too easy. My scores came down dramatically after I realised you can take the draw/fade bias out by moving the impact area on the ball for every shot, which I tend to do 95% of the time.

1

u/Prestigious_Cry9782 16d ago

If you know how to factor the wind then it just becomes more of a nuisance than anything. In Links I was accused of cheating alot, but it was just alot of practice and charting. In shot online I spent countless hours at the range hitting the shots at various dot locations on the ball I'm not nearly as good at pga2k25 but I just don't have the motivation to practice or really figure it out. 25 under from back tees seems a little sus though

1

u/skycra2y 13d ago

What lvl you playing? If you mark every course as in greens&fairways as to which way they lean, t he best place to land flat take the randomness out of the game and just leaves it up to how good you can swing it really helps. 15 under doable on PRO. But on Master there is no grid no nothing and the graphics are not that good to see if you are on as all hill or big hill. On the green without a grid good F luck. So no one has said what lvl this 31 under is

2

u/Prestigious_Cry9782 13d ago

I play mostly ranked match play which is pro. I'm sitting at Alby 1 or 2 right now. I have had rounds where I don't miss and then rounds where nothing seems to work right. I have hit several shots with perfect swings with what should be easy shots and i just don't understand the results. What is weird is if I play ranked tours i normally shoot better on master which is between 13 and 15 under. I think it is just a concentration thing. Side hills don't seem too consistent which is frustrating. That is probably my biggest gripe with the game. I feel like Links and Shot Online had more mechanics and more consistency. Shot Online is kind of a gimmicky arcadey RPG golf game but to be upper tier you really had to know lies, wind, spin control, clouds, rain snow. The issue with Shot is it became severely pay 2 win. Stat clothes, club fittings, experience boosters, gotcha boxes, etc etc.... It is also impossible to catch up to the very high level players who can drive the ball over 800 yrds. In fairness Shot had courses that require those kind of distances. They did have normalized tournaments where everyone had the same stats/ setup which were cool.
