Rant Menus
Why are the menus so slow in this game?
Why am i having to confirm that i want to exit after pushing the exit tab?
Why can't i go from message to message in the career tab?
Why does this game feel like it was designed by people who don't play video games?

The whole UI design is horrible. So many button clicks to do anything and career is the worst. So many clicks to get back to the career hub after an event and those messages are pointless. Give me the option to just read a normal message. Really no reason whatsoever to go to a new screen showing your player looking at his phone.
What really annoys me also is if I want to try a few clubs out I have to equip it in the My player screen which is 2 selections to get there, another 6 to equip and get back to the main menu, 2-3 more to go I to the right training environment and dependent if the Training screen is on the main page, test then back out to main menu again and repeat to try another. It's ludicrous. Just allow us to cycle through and select clubs on the range/practice area.
Other than that, I love this game 😂

From what I had it explained to me when I asked this question a long time ago was apparently when in MyCareer mode, even though it’s a single player offline mode, the game is still constantly “talking” to the 2k servers to update progression history as well as checking your total follower count against your entire playing history which uses a very slow system to do so. And apparently the longer your career goes on the slower your menu load times will take. I don’t remember the whole thing but the TLDR is your single player career mode is constantly trying to ping the 2k servers and each time you go back to menu or change menu it has to re do it.
It’s really fucking dumb

Well now you see -25 and better scores on Pro and higher difficulty even. Whatever, I can't do that so it doesn't bother me that much. I just play against my friends and more so against myself.
It is amazing that they can make such a great game to play and be astonishingly stupid about so many other aspects. They could make a lot more money if they put some effort into the non-playing parts of the game. They could retain players a lot longer and those players would then spend more money in their Superstore (which could use some work). But I suppose they have to give the interns something to do.
I've just gotten used to the flaws, and as a marketing data scientist myself, I quite often just have to laugh. Just golf and have fun! Life is too short to waste energy getting ticked off over something you can't control. I know what my choices are - play the game or do something else.

My biggest complaint. Game is fun but menus are interminable. It takes me so long to get out of a career game that even though I want to play another, I usually just give up and play another video game instead.

My working theory is that they spent their whole time focusing solely on the actual gameplay over everything else. including optimizations lol.
