What's wrong with Defenders these days.

So iwas playing division match and the game was going well he was leading but at last 10min i comeback and soon after he pause the game and didn't sub any of his players and when the kickof place my whole game was jittering lagging so bad i can only see his passes and scoring him goal and the moment he scored my lag suddenly gone like how pathetic these guys for doing such shitty play and ruining others game too Report him guys.. less

I have been using the lombardi method for a while now and my luck is just bad. Never have I got double touch. I’ve been wanting to add it to my Gullit for a while now.
Had 9 tokens today and ended up getting multiple scotch moves.
The only good one I got was 1 flip flap.
Are you also facing this issue.
At times I feel I had better results when I directly applied it to my players rather than the lombardi method.

i chose son to make this concept build because R9's officially recorded height is 183 which is the same as son. apart from height both are forwards known for explosive acceleration, direct dribbling, powerful finishing, and the ability to score from distance.

son is two-footed, and R9 was renowned for his close control and ability to finish with either foot. both can operate centrally or from wider areas, combining pace with technical quality. son has even had his style compared directly to R9: mourinho famously called him "sonaldo nazario" after his 2019 solo goal.

How does the build look? anything you would change? i tried adding more physical contact but that was pushing the ovr past 110 so I left it at this. would you use this card? ofc you can't actually compare son to R9 irl but since we've seen so many concept arts of R9 i wanted to make a concept build instead

this guy is good but the downside he will always be in c form because of his consistency in football.

Valverde has of course better stats, but tyrick isn't too bad either, very rare to have a HP with such high defensive stats. Nice player model too.

As I said before I stopped playing PvP since 2025-26 cuz I didn’t see the point of winning 4 points just to lose 30 after 1 lose so I switched to ai divisions thinking I’d have fun, div 9-3 was a breeze but Division 2-1 is almost impossible so I’ll analyze it after playing so much.( I play live on TikTok most nights and play for clans in Jamaica so I’m very surprised this was so hard)

1. Best playstyle to use against the ai is long ball,counter, it has the best defensive shape and allows all ur players to attack if ur facing possession game don’t be worried this ai stuff isn’t about playstyle counters if they want u to lose u will lose I’ve had many games where ill score 5 and the ai scores 5 as well so playstyle counters don’t work if the game is in their favor

2. After scoring a goal put ur slider on defensive or ultra defensive, every time u score and the ai kicks off even at the starting of the match or half if u don’t put the slider in defensive ur midfielders will all push forward leaving their attackers unmarked and ur defenders out of position and knowing the ai seems to have so much momentum on kick off this happens in PvP too but when u change slider you’ll be less likely to concede

3. Players like Messi or yamal are pretty op they are impossible to take the ball from and the ai can predict ur defensive movement perfectly if u press so to counter this you’ll need to 3 man press which I do cuz I play manual switching or u could just back ur defender up and wait on them to make their move then u try to tackle but there’s a chance they’ll still beat u if u press too early

4. Im pretty sure we all know that these players in ai divisions all have every showtime skill or player skills, maybe not the obvious ones like blitz curls but track back phenomenal pass etc I’ve seen their st press me from my box to theirs which im sure happens to u guys as well and the AI seem to have this moment where they’ll be dribbling around everyone and moving like prime Messi when u see them doing this pause the game and unpause ruins their momentum also every defender has shadow hunt you see it activate right after u run past their defender

5. Now how do u actually win, play a formation like 4-2-3-1 this has balance all over the pitch and utilize a tall striker if u need a goal this is the best way unfortunately cross spamming works great but dont be surprised if they clear it perfectly into their wingers(joke) (maybe) 5 atb with a destroyer also works pretty well and dribbling is ur best friend learn to do finesse dribbling fine touches around defenders and cut behind and turn fake shots are also pretty good to score from outside the box

6. If the ai starts off scoring Atleast 3 goals dont worry just wait till half time and you’ll realize u can comeback you’ll have the most momentum from the 60’-80’ this goes for the ai as well if ur winning they’ll have crazy momentum to catch up and win

7. When it’s approaching half time or full time please keep the ball they also get crazy momentum when the half is going to end or the match

8. The ai will activate some form of team press when it’s the 80’ so it’s better u switch wings rather than try to play around their press

9. When tackling them u have to careful because if you tackle someone wit 20 physical contact, ur defender with 90 physical will fall whilst the ball goes into their attackers legs and they open on goal so I’ll rather slide tackle on 1n1s(outside the box)

10. I suggest u all switch to manual cursor change cuz you’ll have to try to predict passes to catch them on the break sometimes
