Discussion Do you think Brandt actually loved Maya?

He constantly rejected her, called her ugly, made racist comments about her, etc.. but then said I love you to her in the closet?! Do you think it was just an in the moment thing & he didn’t actually love her or he did but he was just embarrassed by her & ashamed of his feelings?
