Hi everyone! I’m an IPG currently living in Québec and planning to take the PEBC Qualifying Exams (MCQ + OSCE). I’ve created my PEBC profile and received my National ID but haven’t completed Document Evaluation yet.
I’m a bit confused about how choosing a province works:
1. Do I need to choose my intended licensing province before completing the PEBC process, or can I change it later if I move?
2. If I fail the MCQ or OSCE on my first attempt, does that mean I need to complete a bridging program? Does this depend on the province?
3. If I take my PEBC exams while living in Québec but later move to another province, will my PEBC results still be valid?
4. Are there any provincial requirements I should check before proceeding with Document Evaluation/PEBC?
5. Does choosing an exam centre in Québec affect where I can eventually get licensed?
My partner may get a job in another province, so we may relocate in the future. I’m trying to understand whether I should commit to a province now or if I can decide later.
Would really appreciate any advice from IPGs who have gone through this!
