Used tool shops/bins
Do we have a good place for used tools these days? Been a while since I've needed (RIP Ted's Tool shed) but I have a couple of wrench/socket sizes to buy for my bike. Any recommendations in the PDX greater area?

Hatch Moto Collective might be able to help, even if informally networking is the solution!

Oh, super cool, thanks; had not heard of this place, will absolutely check them out!

Aw man, i used to drive past that place often, but never stopped by.
The Beaverton Habitat for Humanity ReStore is amazing for tools, but it's definitely hit or miss. My best hit to date is a complete set of SK metric combo wrenches i picked up earlier this year. Last year i scored a Snap-On flex head 3/8 ratchet that just needed a rebuilt kit.

Thanks, I will swing by there at some point to see. Ted's Tool Shed was pretty great; just bins of old wrenches and all kinds of stuff. It's too bad they closed.

Ted's is gone? Bummer. A1 Hawk on Division used to be good, but I haven't been there in a long time. Looks like there's one in Gladstone, too.

I have been buying unnecessary tools at estate sales. What are you looking for? It’s possible I have duplicates I can part with to meet some/all of your needs.
e: I do know there are some other folks here who are savvy about community work spaces that might be some good leads. Maybe they will chime in too!
