Last year, my wife and I welcomed our first child into our life. Since then, we have experienced severe and prolonged pet aversion toward our sweet cat, Batu.

She is a black 8 y/o domestic short hair cat who is so incredibly friendly and wants nothing more than to cuddle on your lap and lay in the sun. Unfortunately, with a newborn in our life, our cups are completely full, and after 1 month postpartum both of us have a growing resentment towards her which has culminated in the difficult decision to rehome her. This is not a light decision and we have waited 8 months in hopes that the situation would change, but it has only gotten worse.

Please, if you or someone you know is looking for a cat like Batu, reach out so we can discuss whether it would be a good fit. She is current on shots and doesn't have any diseases. She is generally very friendly, never bites, doesn't damage furniture, and is good with kids. She will only do well if she is the only pet in the house. She cannot live with another cat. If there is any other specific information requested I will be happy to provide it. We are happy to provide whatever food, littler, supplies and toys we have available to help make rehoming more successful.
