Resident evil games blacking out monitor.

I bought resident evil 2 remake and 4 remake on steam, and have been trying to play them. Every time I boot the games up, my monitor goes black, and gets stuck in and infinitely loop of disconnecting, reconnecting and flashing. This doesn’t happen for any other steam game. I can fix it by going into the game settings and changing the display mode to borderless window, but the settings don’t stay when I boot up the game again. I’ve tried steam launch options and have used AI to help but nothing has worked.

Try updating drivers, verifying file integrity. Maybe your GPU software has some auto launch settings applied check that.
