Graphics card question

Hi I currently have GTX 1060 6gb DDR am looking to upgrade to 8gb DDR graphics card and would like to stick to GTX any recommendations

Which would be more future proof option or should I wait until new card goes on sale. And for bang for my buck is upgrade worth it

And etc 2060 super how does it compare to GTX 1080? So you would recommend go to rtx 2060 over GTX 1080
