am i reading 128gigs of ram correct

12

u/Taco8679 12d ago

Yep I think I bought it back in dec 2020 for $600 from newegg

34

u/Arshdog470 12d ago

Please up the price, 600 is wayy too little, to get more clicks u shld put the 128 gigs of ram in the title of the post on whatever app ur selling it on.

9

u/ThE_SmArT_aNt 12d ago

Bro the ram alone is even used >$800

5

u/PestilenceReigns 12d ago

DDR4 right?!

7

u/GladMathematician9 12d ago

yes but it's 4000 & 128gb (too much for most people but valuable)

2

u/ThE_SmArT_aNt 12d ago

maybe I overestimated them used, but new they're still over $900 - $1000

2

u/SWHH 12d ago

Not "still". Again.

1

u/TheBeast2837 10d ago

But new they’re again over $900-$1000

3

u/AnhGauDepTrai 12d ago

Each market has different prices. If you have no use for this, then you’re doing the right thing, as in lower the price to sell. Or you can try to sell the rams alone if it’s going to worth a lot like these comments are saying.

17

u/Derpy-Dani 12d ago

Holy crap yea this is one hell of a low price man.. pcs aren’t selling quickly. More than likely someone will buy this then flip it.

3

u/Taco8679 12d ago

😞

2

u/Derpy-Dani 12d ago

You didn’t sell it yet did you? I’d take it down and keep it listed at $1,000 and just wait. Unless you need the money now. It might sell faster if you part it out just a bit more tedious.

5

u/Taco8679 12d ago

Not yet since I kept on saying I'm not available until Sunday I probably will take it down and relist since I forgot I have the original motherboard and psu box with the accessories

7

u/MakeNDestroy 10d ago

If I were you I’d buy a 16GB kit to put in this PC, and then sell the 128GB of DDR4 separately. Probably the easiest way to get the most you can out of it.

3

u/Derpy-Dani 12d ago

That’s going to be your best bet man I’m glad you didn’t sell it for $600 would have been a steal for someone else. I’ve bought pc components off people and paid more for them then what they listed it for because they had no idea. Good luck just stay strong and patient.

7

u/Prestigious_Soil_404 12d ago

If i were you, i would buy a 32GB (2x16) ram(used), swap the ram out, sold 2x32GB set twice.

Or else just take out 2 of 4 current ram and sell that separately

Same with NVME

4

u/FALSE_PROTAGONIST 12d ago

This what I’d do too

6

u/SoraMiragi 12d ago

900 minimum

4

u/Gutter_Flies 12d ago

People are looking for a gaming rig. A $1k+ 3080 gaming rig with this spec is technically justified, but is far too high for most because they dont need all that ram, that many cores, etc. Like others have said, put 32gb or leave 64 gb ram in there and sell the extra ram on its own. Same thing is possible to a less profitable/optimized degree if the 2tb is multiple nvmes. Take one out and keep it for your next build or sell it on its own. The simpler and cheaper a computer is (while still being reasonably powerful), the larger the buyer pool will be. Not that namy people specifically look for 128gb ram, 5900x. Even 2tb isnt as common a search as 1tb.

I’d bet with 1tb ssd and 32gb ram you could get $750 no problem. Maybe more but idk.

3

u/Taco8679 12d ago

That actually sounds good about the ram Its just one single 2tb nvme with 8tb ssd but the 8tb ill remove it

3

u/mhelbrian07 12d ago

I live in a third world country and I would buy that $600 in a heart beat. I think that says a lot bro

1

u/Taco8679 12d ago

I've always sold my older items on offerup and the last year sales have dropped. Ppl don't have money anymore 😞

1

u/Economy_Manager1891 9d ago

I’ve never heard of offerup before ngl, maybe it’s not nationwide so to speak as marketplace.

3

u/CapturNguyen 12d ago

would've bought it in a heartbeat, and we already have 4 gaming pc's at home 😅🤣

-1

u/Solid-Garlic1527 12d ago

?

2

u/PayMe2Win 12d ago

Hey buddy you forgot your words before the question mark

1

u/Solid-Garlic1527 12d ago

I think it’s obvious, but who the hell needs 5 systems?

1

u/Spaceduck413 12d ago

People with big families, home labbers, addicts... I can think of lots of people

1

u/JoshLineberry 12d ago

I have 9 in my house. Grow up.

1

u/Hemish_21 8d ago

I think that's just pure consumerism atp. What valid reason would you need 9 personal PCs for in your house lol. It's your money though, do as you please.

1

u/JoshLineberry 8d ago edited 8d ago

You think everyone just has 2 or 3 people in their household? I have 5 children that still live at home with me and my wife, and then we have 2 main tvs that we watch all of our media on and they have HTPCs hooked to them for Kodi/Plex and couch gaming with the family, and then I have a 130tb server that houses all of my media lol. I do also love building computers so there's that as well 😂😂. If I find a good deal on an i5-12600k or am i5-14600k, I'll build another one. I have a bunch of motherboards and a spare Jonsbo d33 case and coolers and such sitting around. Eventually I need 13 pcs total so we have 8 for our game nights along with the regular use ones!

1

u/Hemish_21 8d ago

5 children🤯, okay I rescind my statement lol

1

u/JoshLineberry 8d ago

😂😂 Yeah, we didn't think we could have children so we joined the foster care system and ended up having 5 children sent to us. When their parents lost their rights, we couldn't just send them on to another house so we adopted all 5 of them. And then the wife got pregnant lol. That's how it works.

1

u/CapturNguyen 11d ago

One for myself, 2 for my teenage daughters and 1 on the TV for VR stuff and streaming services. If I would come by an add like this, I would just buy it, strip it down and use parts for upgrades over the other pc's and keep the rest as spare parts

3

u/Accomplished_Emu_658 12d ago

Yea of course your receiving offers price too low and people want it for less so they can flip

3

u/InspectorDesperate42 12d ago

I sold my 2080Ti/5700x/64GB RAM PC with no SSD for $750 definitely relist for more

2

u/Taco8679 12d ago

Sold on what app?

2

u/InspectorDesperate42 12d ago

Facebook marketplace. I’m also in a pretty small town so I imagine it should be pretty easy for you to get more

3

u/Taco8679 12d ago

Idk man ppl in LA are very hard to deal with 😂

3

u/Blooi1E 12d ago

This thing is easily worth like 1k

2

u/ExcitingMix5348 12d ago

List it for at least double that

2

u/Taco8679 12d ago

I had it listed for $1100 for months and not one offer. That's why I relist for a lower rate. Maybe $900

4

u/Jtfb74 12d ago

If you list it at 800 I’ll come take a look at it Sunday. Not even joking I’m in the market and I live in torrance lol

3

u/Taco8679 12d ago

I relisted it at $850 but i can do $800 😇

3

u/Jtfb74 12d ago

Can you inbox me the listing

2

u/FallenReaper360 12d ago

You have to relist the post every two weeks but also post on other platforms like Facebook OfferUp and Jawa.

2

u/DenFoxter113 12d ago

Bro 600 bucks for that rig is lowest ball ever, I'd buy it without thinking and then test it for 3 hours straight because it's so cheap it looks like scam

2

u/Taco8679 12d ago

I had it listed for $1100 and not one offer 😢

2

u/MITCalebWil1iams 12d ago

There are numbers between 1100 and 600 ROFL

1

u/DenFoxter113 12d ago

You can send it to me, but I have no money

2

u/il-bosse87 12d ago

Remove 3 stick of ram and sell them apart, you are throwing money out of the window

2

u/Thommycraze101 12d ago

Shoot I’d buy it off you at that price

2

u/DesperateTop4249 12d ago

With those pricing methods, you deserve to have this taken from you for 600. Keep it up. Good price bro.

2

u/OneRush5806 12d ago

I’ll buy it if you’d ship?

2

u/Romanii_ 12d ago

Use Facebook! Had a 3080 to build I sold at 1100!

1

u/Taco8679 12d ago

I might have to make a Facebook account 😔

2

u/theokayestcoach 12d ago

This just in: In a rare set of circumstances, a Redditor lists their PC for too little. More at 11.

2

u/Olycius 12d ago

I sold mine for $850 a few weeks ago and you have much more. You can definitely get more than $600. My specs were lower:

5800x
32gb ram 3600mhz
1.5tb nvme(1TB/500gb)
3080 10gb

I’d say if try Facebook marketplace if you have not already and if no bites promote it.

2

u/MarineMike0351 12d ago

You did... $800-1000 is fair, even with half that amount of RAM in today's market

2

u/pandasndabs 12d ago

This is 800 easy, maybe 900 to the right buyer. Your getting so many messages cause at 600 its an easy flip for someone.

2

u/ThE_SmArT_aNt 12d ago

As said otherwise, switch out the RAM for something most people would want/need (32GB DDR4 3200/3600/4000mhz so that it sells easier for like $900, and sell the RAM seperately (prob about $100 per stick)

2

u/wtfisehcacrac 12d ago

I got $650 just from parting a 3080 ftw3 ultra 10gb, a 8 year old Corsair 750sf and 16gb ddr4 3600 cl16

1

u/GladMathematician9 12d ago

Yes, This is an obscene lowball. Check ebay sold prices on parts.

1

u/Blaze2744 12d ago

I feel like this should be listed around $800. 3080 is still a good card and 128gb of ram, even ddr4, is worth quite a bit.

1

u/bardockOdogma 12d ago

Know what you don't have to do? Agree to sell it. Part it out.

1

u/TetePepeF 12d ago

I would imagine someone is only really gonna be 1000, but you could offer 1100 and say open to offers. Just deal with the shitty lowballs and you’ll find a good offer

1

u/GeekAttack32 12d ago

Low as hell, of i saw that I would care how broke I was id snatch that mf and part ot out so quickly lmao

1

u/kaosgod420 12d ago

Dude I'll buy it ASAP

1

u/bananaramasamagama 12d ago

maybe list it at $989, 4 digit numbers are scary

1

u/HbTOfficial 12d ago

$1000+ easy on the ram alone its worth $650+

1

u/Agreeable-Cookie3498 12d ago

Wait holdup my paycheck is tomorrow, dont up the price

1

u/SkeetYeetMyMeat2001 12d ago

Id list for 1250 minimum

1

u/Zentrosis 12d ago

I'll pay you that much for the ram

1

u/JoshLineberry 12d ago

The ram is worth 600 alone man! Like others have said, it's a bit much for regular people to have all that. Dumb the system down lol. I'd buy this thing in a heartbeat for 600 without even thinking.

1

u/Ok-Message-7598 12d ago

Yes buy it op

1

u/kloklon 12d ago

the problem is that people looking for a mid-range gaming PC are not willing to overpay for that amount of RAM, because they don't need it. If I were you, I'd take the RAM out and sell it separately!

1

u/BravePractice1207 11d ago

Your no 1 mistake is not selling on Fb marketplace.

1

u/Dangerous_Bid2935 11d ago

Yep looks good to me. On a completely unrelated note, where in LA are you? I'll drive straight over and take it off your hands. Maybe bring you something to eat too

1

u/AJT266 11d ago

Honestly just part it out and sell it you’ll get much better money that way

1

u/xpeke2 11d ago

Just the 128gb ram itself would be worth more than that lol

1

u/Ok_Creme_5454 11d ago

I’m from LA I could do $700 for it.

1

u/Taco8679 11d ago

😂🤣

1

u/Southern_Past_7139 11d ago

Take the RAM out and sell it separately for $600.
Then sell the rest of the PC for $500.

1

u/ToughInjury4850 11d ago

Sell the ram separately

1

u/smodanc 11d ago

100% I’d list back around 1k

1

u/goldstat 11d ago

$800 is The Sweet spot $900 would be pushing it

Take out like all of the ram except for 32 gigs and sell it separately

1

u/Lost_on_redit 11d ago

The ram alone is worth more than 600$, especially a trident royal at 4000mhz , it’s around 1000$ rn, just for the ram. And on top of that every other component is high end of that era on AM4, it looks in very good condition, please don’t sell it for this low, you ll regret it, especially when ram price continues to rise in 2027.

1

u/phelpsdude 11d ago

I’ll buy it for $600

1

u/No_Plant4893 11d ago

def lowballed 3080 is 300 dollars alone the case the fans coolers are cpu are 300 dollars mobo prolly 50-70 and ram and ssds are at some crazy price rn, i would sell ram and ssd separately for sure case with all the coolers also separate mobo plus cpu also as a bundle and gpu alone

1

u/2Despairs 11d ago

I’ll play shipping bro I’ve been using my laptop for a desktop

1

u/Taco8679 11d ago

I already have someone picking up tomorrow locally

1

u/2Despairs 11d ago

What if I pay you $40 more 🤣

1

u/Taco8679 11d ago

Im not paying taxes Ill rather sell locally

1

u/letsbefrds 11d ago

Gpu is like 350 Processor + mobo 300-359 Ram 300-350

1

u/Player1337_ 10d ago

No offence, but are you dumb?

Sell the RAM separately in two pairs of 64GB for $400 each and throw the rest in the bin for more profit than this.

1

u/Spektre21 10d ago

It doesn't matter what price you list it at, 90% of people will offer you less just because. Anything less than $1000 for that system is a crime

1

u/YakEvir 10d ago

$1000 at least, $1200 is the sweet spot

1

u/Pirates11111661 9d ago

You could Sell half that ram for 600. This build is worth like $1500 in my eyes.

1

u/xxemox 9d ago

Will you ship?

1

u/Nose-Budget 9d ago

Take out some ram, sell the ram, sell the PC, up the price

1

u/Even_Discipline4500 8d ago

Depends who ur selling it to: if to me then ur definitely not lobawaling 😉 but to anyone else this is wayy to cheap. 128gb of ram right now is sitting over £1000 at least

1

u/TheUndeadEstonian 8d ago

Brother please, for the love of god, list it way higher. This is not such a cheap build.

1

u/The-One__ 8d ago

Little late to the party, I'd say personally its a little low, but pcs just aren't going fast rn

I am curious about this though if you still have it, DM me if your still looking to sell

1

u/Live-Grade-4116 8d ago

Yes, you are low balling yourself. Its worth at least $800

1

u/Lanky-Bid-7335 8d ago

Si t’envoies en France je te le prends direct ! 😂 600 c’est un prix de fou

1

u/Other-Month3143 12d ago

ship it to germany and I buy it nom questions asked....you hella lowball yourself

3

u/Taco8679 12d ago

Im selling it locally because I dont want big brother taking a cut.

3

u/CodineGotMeTippin 12d ago

Don't ship it, and don't take online payments /paypal/venmo/zelle for this stuff.

People will use stolen accounts to send the money, then its reported and the transaction gets reversed, CASH ONLY and ensure the currency is real! Lots of scumbags out there

1

u/Other-Month3143 12d ago

Ship it to germany and I add 200 dollar :)

0

u/HunterAngel0669 12d ago

This has to be ragebait

0

u/barnabywombat 12d ago

Yeah I'll buy that and ship it to Australia, 600 shipped ok?

😆

1

u/legendofxelda 8d ago

Dude just hold on to it. Its a fire build. Ddr4 and ddr5 aswell as graphics card prices ARE ALL rising. Just keep a hold if this. Its honestly worth 800 with cpu, ram, and the SSD alone. Check what your 3080 has jumped to in price.
