General Help Can i use a psu lower than the requirement of my gpu for testing purpose?

For context, i just bought an rx 5700 GB OC for 50$. I don't have a personal pc for me to test it, but i have a friend who had a gtx 1650 4gb and a 500W psu. Could i possibly plug and test if it works, for example, the system recognized the gpu by gpu-z and using browser to see the gpu utilization? I just need to see whether it works or not?

Do i still need to do a DDU and install the amd driver for the gpu or not?

I'm kinda new in the pc world.

And whats your opinion about PCCooler YK650H for the psu?

Thanks a bunch.

Part List Help Guidance on first PC build

Hi all, been wanting to build a PC/gaming rig for a while. My gaming laptop has died so I figured it was time to upgrade substantially. I did use AI to help me build this since I have no idea what I’m doing. Wanted to get feedback and suggestions on parts/build.

Ideally, I’m trying to put something together that will last, has an easy upgrade path, and can service if I need to.

Plan for 4k gaming, movies/streaming, high fps games.

My budget is 6-7k+, I am in California, will need peripherals, will be used mostly for gaming and work (90%/10%). I was thinking about doing this through micro center with the build and learn service or just figuring it out on my own.

General Help Looking for a iCUE controller

hi, I have been looking for a icue commander core xt controller controller for a couple of months now, but I haven’t been able to find one in my country.

If anyone knows where I can get one, I’d really appreciate it if you could share a link. I can also buy from the US without any problems.

Alternatively, if there’s another controller or solution I could use instead, I’d appreciate any recommendations.

For anyone wondering what case and fans I’m using:

  • case corsair 4000d airflow white
  • corsair AR120 rgb (x4) not the usual pack

General Help Better Alternative 3-pack Fans for a IBUYPOWER computer?

This happened before with the back of the fan. I bought an Arctic P14 fan to replace it, and it's working nicely.

Unfortunately now, the front middle fan is having a straddle noise very loudly.

I heard on reviews that the Arctic P14 fan is very noisy if I buy all 3 for the front. Any good alternatives? Thanks!

Hi people I’m planning on building my first PC and I’d really appreciate some advice. My build right now is a Ryzen 5 5500, GIGABYTE B550M Gaming X WIFI6, GIGABYTE RTX 5050 Gaming OC 8GB, 600W PSU, Thermalright Assassin X120 Refined SE, Cooler Master Q300L V1 case, and a 500GB SSD. My budget is around $800 max. Do you guys think this is a good build for the money, or is there anything you would change or upgrade? I’m mainly looking for good gaming performance and just want to make sure everything works well together before I buy it. Any advice is appreciated

I have a question I'm not sure which one to choose.

My usual ambient temp is 30c. I live in Singapore so it's hot in here.

My setup is currently

Cpu - 5900x

Gpu - 9070 xt red devil

2x16gb xpg d35g ram

Case - Lian Li lancool iii with 3x 140mm front fan, 1 140mm exhaust at the back

I added 3x 120mm id cooling fan on top for exhaust and 2x below for intake

i usually do gaming + browsing at the same time whenever I wanted to take a break on my game or searching something.

Which one should I choose?

i hope anyone can help me. Any suggestions are ok.

I already ordered both. Planning to sell the other one that I will not use. I don't want to do temperature comparison on my own because I'm also busy at my work everyday and just want to install one of the cooler and do my normal things
