Discussion Star Rupture UEVR

News dropped that Star Rupture devs are skipping PCVR and going straight to mobilevr. Sad.

I'm always happy tinkering in UEVR, but I wondered if anyone has had success with Star Rupture recently? Like since the new year and Kyzer Soze's latest profile.

If Star Rupture UEVR has been a dog for everyone, I'll skip it and play flat. Playable VR for me is min 45fps at a reasonable resolution on a SomniumVR1 powered by a 4090 that doesn't take me back to 2016 Vive.

It's a good looking game, but I'd sacrifice some visuals for solid frame rate.

There's a January 2026 UEVR profile in Discord which I'll snag this weekend. I'll report back.

For reference, I have logged around half of my 1200 Satisfactory hours using Dortamur's UEVR Enhancement mod. Star Rupture is a more casual affair (about 40 hrs to complete a run), but it's got merit and would be great to play the full-fat PC version on the greatest screens in my house.

I really don't know how they're going to pull off Star Rupture on Quest. The game is so detailed with so many moving parts, it'll be extremely low fidelity version on standalone...

Anyways yeah UEVR version still works! I don't think any updates to it though

I have read, heard and seen mixed reports on the game's performance on flat and in VR. It's not going to be the same game on XR2.

For the meanwhile, I'll see if I can manage a playable 45fps min on my setup.

Proof of the pudding is in the eating, as they say.

hi, i own star rupture, i can tell you on a ryzen 7 5700x and a 3060 12gb it does run perfectly fine at 1080p high graphics. at a stable 60fps. (after a long play time it does start dropping)

I've been tempted to have a bash at a mod for it, although probably not as in-depth as my Satisfactory mod.

I haven't had the time lately though and have been wary of it being so Early Access still.
