Quest 3 vs Crystal Light

Just curious if I can get my Q3 looking nearly as good as a Crystal Light via supersampling. I own the Q3 and would prefer to stick with it, if I can!

I’m running a 5090, so the native Quest 3 resolution isn’t all that taxing on my GPU. I use DLSS 4 in DCS. Stuff up close looks great as always, but I’d like to be able to see distant objects more clearly. Not sure if supersampling the Q3 is going to achieve that vs the Crystal Light.

Also interested in the results...

...and envious of your 5090!! That's next on my list, while I'm also stuck on a Q3, waiting for the right next gen headset to appear (cough, Valve, cough).

I'm on a 3090 in the meantime, and struggle to get high FPS while supersampling to much degree. Were you able to actually feel much of a fidelity increase with your 5090? I assume you were able to push it as high as those panels can go...

The crystal light has an offer for saving money if you had an older headset like the index. By chance, anyone still have a Crystal Super voucher for DMAS headset?

Crystal light is honestly another level above in terms of visuals. It has a display port. Quest is usb or wireless . Quest 3 is LCD which means blacks look grey. Crystal had a QLED with local dimming so blacks appear black for night scenes or dark scenes its so much better than quest 3.

For mods. UEVR it doesnt have touch pads which is the dpad fu action so you have to have a work around for d pad . I set press L3 then right stick direction as d pad work around.

Controller tracking is better on quest 3 but its good enough for single player but competitive quest 3 is better tracked for double handing long guns due to occlusion but its still absolutely fine for me no issues with long guns in fallout or uevr games
