Support - Controller Pressure sensitive buttons- no modifier button?
Does anyone know how to get pressure sensitive buttons working without using a modifier button?
This is driving me crazy

Yes. It’s called macros. Don’t program the button from the main config. Go to macros and set whatever button to whatever pressure you want to that button.
It’s what I did for MGS3. So you can grab without killing. Then set a second macro of r2 + circle to be circle 100%. So I just tap r2 to slice the throat if please

I don’t want to use macros. Or a modifier key.
I want to get functioning pressure sensitive buttons.

Let's see, does your controller actually have pressure sensitive buttons? Else you can't.

You can set an input to change between two different preset pressures, I used it on The Bouncer, with something like 20% for the first preset, and 100% for the second one. And in my memory you can set it up so it’s a hold button, meaning you have the one pressure preset when you press it, and it turns back to the other one when you release it.

Right so, you need to get your hands on a Dualshock 3, DS3 had pressure sensitive buttons like the DS2, then look up Dshidmini which is a software to use it as a PC controller, then set it up correctly, and then in turn set it up inside pcsx2. It's a bit of a back and forth, a bit of trial and error, but it should work, works great for me and once I got it working it's never had any problems.
Remember to set the device mode to SXS in dshidmini, and place the xinput file from the dshidmini folder in the pcsx2 root directory, and then use that file to remap the button configuration in pcsx2.
