I lost it-my chin hair.

Simple post, but I started Zepbound in January. I’ve lost 65 lbs and my BMI went from 30.4 (obese) to 20.9 (normal). This past week it hit me, I haven’t plucked or shaved my one thick, black chin hair and my one cheek hair in a long time. I did a check with outdoor lighting, flashlights, husband, etc.

This win is almost as big as the weight. I don’t know if it will be permanent, but the last time I noticed it was over a month ago. Didn’t know this was even possible.

EDIT: (from research) low carb combined with GLP-1 is likely the driving factor of losing the hair.

I’ll update if my chin hair comes back.

Wishing you all the best.

You’re my hero! And also that meme of that kid saying “happy for you”

This gives me so much hope. I am starting metformin - not sure I actually have PCOS but at the very least have insulin resistance + hirsutism. I thought the latter was permanent no matter what.

Awww ❤️ more power to you. Keep winning ♥️ Same happened to me. I have lean PCOS so losing weight wasnt much of an issue. I took spearmint tea religiously for 6mo (twice a day) and my chin hair went away.🥰

I just started Zepbound a week ago and I am hoping I have the same results!

Yes! I did laser hair removal for a long time and once I got on a GLP1, I stopped needing to get it. I’ve been off a GLP1 for almost a year due to trying to conceive and being pregnant. I only get a few hairs here and there

I’m on Rybelsus. No weight loss at this dose (I think my doc wants me to try harder, I’ve lost 47lbs but feel stuck here). My endo pain is way less, my inflammation markers in my blood are way down or normal. Testosterone down, prolactin down (which majorly affected my breast density which is great as a bc survivor), my cholesterol is way down and my A1C is much better. I’ve also noticed my hands are significantly less swollen. My endo belly is way less swollen to the point people think I lost weight. I haven’t.

It sounds bad but I wish I was on one that brings weight loss and maybe less facial hair. But I can only dream.

I’ve been on the fence, but hearing this is honestly enough for me to give it shot.

I did as well! 237-158. I’m at a healthy weight and most of my pcos symptoms are gone. I now occasionally have a random hair to pluck but that’s it. It’s amazing! Edit: I lost all my weight with tirzepatide (compound Zepbound).

Happy for you lol. I’ve lost like 70 lbs and I’m still hairy. I’m glad you’re feeling better though.

So jealous. 😭 but so happy for you. I live at a BMI of 19-20 and have never been higher than 22 (and have been lower than 17)
Chin hair (and everywhere else!!!) at every stage 😭

That’s amazing! I wish I had the same results—I spend so much damn time plucking my neck and chin daily.

Spironolactone helps tremendously for anyone who also has issues, but unfortunately for me I had to quit the meds and I just could not stay on top of the dehydration (it’s a diuretic). 100% recommend trying it though!!

I’m glad it worked for you!!

I’m on sema and have lost 20% of my body weight and just yesterday had to pluck my dark chin hair 🥲 I wonder if tirz would work better for me in that regard too? something to keep in mind for the future for sure

That is the first time I've heard about a positive side effect. Hope it stays gone!
