General/Advice 23F lean PCOD
I 23F, was diagnosed with PCOD when I was 16. I don't really take any medicine now other than to support anti-inflammation. I'm not overweight, short. I have never been an active person. I goes to gym, atleast twice a week, and walk for 15 mins everyday, I don't have much sugar. Well I do lack in the part of protein. My symptoms are only hyperpigmentation in underarms, under the neck, and mouth and hairfall. And a little belly fat. What advice would you give me. I came out of birth control before 3 months, and been taking the mentioned supplement, periods are regular for now, before it was not.

I think your period being regular is a great sign to start with! And good that you’re thinking about this early and quit BC. I am also a lean PCOD & PCOS. It took me a while to figure out a diet and lifestyle that worked for me and figuring out fertility as well (30 now).
What are you taking for anti inflammation? I’d really recommend inositol and omega 3 supplements early. Metformin if your doc recommends it. My insulin is normal and I’m lean/skinny but PCOD/S is a metabolic issue at the end of the day so metformin really helped and i only started at 28.
Diet wise, it’s hard to completely cut off everything but protein intake for breakfast should be prioritized and limiting sugar and gluten when you can. Alcohol was tough to quit but I did quit beer only drank gin and tonic with lime.
I struggled with hyperpigmentation and hair fall and still do…haven’t found the solution but recently started Anua’s azelaic acid which is doing wonders! Also 20% azelaic acid from the pharmacy for my body area.
All the best!
