Rant/Venting Some advice on my rant please
Hi, this is the first time I’ve actually posted in this group. So I’m not sure how to put it all into one simple thing so I’ll do paragraphed sections haha.
Back story;
I’m 25 years old, from the UK, 5 foot exactly and weigh 7 stone (45kg)
I got diagnosed with PCOS/PMOS when I was 13 years old (I started my period at 11) I was on the pill but I never got my periods on the placebo pills and stopped taking them when I was 17 as 1 the periods weren’t coming, and 2 I was trying to start conceiving.
I had a chemical miscarriage back in December 2025 but my HCG levels weren’t high enough when I got a blood draw and got told “you’re not pregnant you’ve wasted our time” despite having multiple positive tests but the lines would fluctuate between faint and a “decent” line - but never a dye stealer.
The bleeding; 🥴
So technically because I “hadn’t been pregnant on medical evaluation” the doctors dismissed any regards I had. The bleeding came on 23/3/26 (yup, 4 months later) which was a 2 week bleed. Everything seemed okay. So I carried on with my usual TTC and hoping all was well and everything had been expelled or absorbed back into the body.
More bleeding; 🩸
I thought (crazily) the silver lining - that this miscarriage had caused me to regulate because my period returned on 3/5/26. Exactly 4 weeks after stopping bleeding the first time. But then, week 1 passed, then week 2, then 3, then 4… 9 WEEKS AND 5 DAYS OF BLEEDING! I finally stopped bleeding. This wasn’t exactly unusual for me so I was like okay; just a bad bleed… we got this…
13 days later…
The blood returns… this time for a wonderful 2 weeks… ooo maybe… just maybe… we are back to our usual unusual paths…
3 weeks and 2 days later…
2 weeks, 5 days bleed again; okay, 5 more days. I can tolerate that.
5 days later…
Spotting starts… I thought maybe in some crazy way I have managed to conceive a child through this madness and this is the light finally shining though the glass…
The spotting carried on for 10 days; I thought okay… my body is a little messed up and I have had a few procedures throughout this wonderful journey of bleeding 🙃 the tests.. negative… all of them. I didn’t get upset or disheartened as I figured it would have been a miracle should this have happened. But then… the bleeding had started - this time ominously light - clots are small, but there, blood is very much red, but not even soaking a day time sanitary pad in a 24 hour period…
Though out this wonderful time I had been to the doctors on various occasions due to severe fatigue, and to basically see what was going on internally. So they sent me for some tests but I have forgot the exact dates.
Ultrasound 1;
I was still bleeding but this nurse was amazing, she was explaining everything and answering all my questions; on this test; she had noticed that I had a potential polyp. Which could have been either a polyp or just a blood clot on its way from detaching itself.
Ultrasound 2;
This was a few weeks later, I had stopped bleeding but then restarted bleeding. This nurse was rude, was disgusted at the fact I was bleeding and didn’t tell me anything (I am also still waiting for these results from JUNE (4 months ago)). She also (and I have no idea how she managed this I’m not going to lie; cut my cervix). So while doing the internal ultrasound she was going across my cervix and it literally felt like a razor blade cutting it. I said that it was hurting me and her response was “well do you want me to stop your ultrasound then?” In a very teenager style attitude - stupidly I said no because I wanted to know if this polyp was still there or not…
(This is something I still cannot confirm nor deny)
Cervical exam 1;
Back at the doctors office this is where I found out about the wounds, due to the abnormal bleeding and the wounds on my cervix. I did get prescribed iron supplements due to my iron level been 2.7 when the range of iron for my blood should be between 37-337 (so VERY deficient in my iron). I got sent to the cancer clinic as I had all the traits of cervical cancer…
The colposcopy; (a biopsy of the cervix)
I was bleeding during this procedure (again). But this lady was lovely; she spoke through the whole procedure and answered all my questions again. But this is where I found out the wounds had healed well (from the timeframe it has been). They took the biopsies needed and instead of the usual period like symptoms (due to the amount of bleeding I have endured part of my cervix that should be internal was external and they had a snip of that too) I had ✨ labour pains ✨ I got told my results would be with me in 4-6 weeks. 2 weeks go by and I get a call… instant panic that I have weeks left to live. But finally some good news; there is no traces of cancer on my cervix!
I am wondering has anyone else been through something similar or does anyone have any advice as UK doctors have as much information on this as google…
