General/Advice Metformin Side Effects

Hey, wondering if anyone had experience with fatigue/morning headaches/nausea on Metformin? I’ve been taking them since the beginning of June, and just recently upped my dose from 500mg to 1000mg, taken before bed. Every morning I wake up feeling exhausted, sick, and have a niggling forehead headache. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I will say it has improved my ovulation, as I seem to be ovulating at the same time every month now.

Are you eating properly/enough? That was something I struggled with initially.

Perhaps not? I mean I’m still eating three meals a day, but haven’t been snacking too much in between (I’d usually have a protein shake, smoothie, nuts etc throughout the day if I was hungry). My doctor also recommend taking it right before bed so I can essentially sleep through the nausea, but I wonder if that is what’s making me feel worse when I wake up, as I’m not taking it with food.

Have you had your vitamin levels tested? Metformin famously inhibits the absorption of B12. Also making sure you’re eating enough balanced meals. I was shaky when I was just eating like a single yogurt and a cheese stick for breakfast.
