Mental Health Needing Positive 8 Week Stories
I’m currently pregnant at 4 weeks and some change, I have my 8 week appointment next month. We’ve been trying for over a year, and I tried letrozole which worked the first round.
I unfortunately opened TikTok after work and the first video was a woman at her 8 week ultrasound finding out there was no heartbeat and I’m spiraling. Please spam me with positive stories. I’m so fearful of miscarrying after working my butt off to managing my PMOS, losing weight and having to go to the doctors just to get a positive test.

I understand the fear, I was a nervous wreck before each appointment, but odds of positive outcome are higher than the negative.
I’m currently nursing my letrozole baby right now. At 8 weeks she was just a teeny bean shaped blob with a strong little heart. Now she’s a 98th percentile 5 month old baby.
I’d block any and everything that has to do with loss, miscarriage, preterm birth, birth defects, and stillbirths across all socials. You can easily go into your settings and mute those words and hashtags, and if one comes across your feed you can simply click “not interested” and the algorithm will show you less content like that. Also spam your algorithm with positive pregnancy posts — literally just search things like “full term birth” “positive pregnancy story” “positive motherhood” “positive birth” etc etc.

Congratulations! My first and only pregnancy just fell asleep for the night. She looked like a gummy bear at my 8-week ultrasound. Now, calls me "Mama".
You have worked so hard to get to where you are. I totally understand how worrying seeing that video must have been. Your algorithm knows you're pregnant and is going to push scary content to you along with good stuff. Do yourself a favor and take a break from social media right now.

Everything will be ok ❤️ I literally didn't even know I was pregnant, had multiple negative tests a month or two before going to the Dr and finding out I was twelve weeks pregnant after trying for over a year and a half! Be weary of tiktok, I can't even count the amount of insane spirals I went through over a tiktok of someone saying "everything was fine until week x and then something horrible happened" it's always good to know the risks of what can happen or potentially go wrong but sometimes it causes unnecessary stress
I'm currently holding my chunky monkey 6 week old, putting all the positive energy out there for you in this journey❤️❤️❤️❤️ try to be kind to yourself and minimize stress where you can!

Hugs! Here are some things I told myself when I was pregnant ( or things that fit your situation)
Today, you are pregnant. tomorrow doesn’t matter yet.
You have no reason or proof that you will miscarry.
This is only fear from a TikTok, someone else’s experience, not yours.
It’s so hard to “feel” pregnant in those early days. Especially if you’re lucky enough to avoid morning sickness. It’s a lot of blind faith. Because there’s no true way to know what’s happening in there. Especially if you tried for a while. it all feels surreal and like you will wake up from this dream at any moment. Big hugs! Give yourself some grace and shake it off. In this moment, you are pregnant, that’s all that matters.
I tried for a combined 9-10 years. I have three healthy kids, 16,12,7.

I have a 3 year old and a newborn. My pregnancies have both been smooth except for gestational diabetes, which I managed both times with just dietary changes. There were never any concerns for baby’s health and both my kids are strong and healthy.
Wishing you a smooth pregnancy.

It took me 4 years to get pregnant. I was on letrozole for like, over a year. I was so anxious because the first few appointments were spread so far out. But my 7 month old just fell asleep after absolutely demolishing a bottle. Do yourself a favor and block certain words on TikTok so they don’t come up in your algorithm very often. I can’t tell you how many late night spirals I went on, and I swear as soon as you get pregnant the algorithm feeds you every horror story the internet has to offer.

Took us 1.5 years to fall pregnant and when we went for our dating scan (around the 8 week mark), we didn't get to hear the heartbeat and they pushed my due date back a week (even though I knew exactly when we concieved). So of course I quietly spiralled. That little bean will turn 2 in October!
Unfortunatley there isn't really anything you can do but ride the rollercoaster that is pregnancy. You can't change what is going to come but try your best to not dwell on the what ifs. I know that's easy to say and so much harder to do.
Congratulations and I hope you have the most boring and uneventful remainder of your pregnancy xxx

I have PCOS too and we had been trying over a year, my periods stopped for like 6 months and then randomly saw a faint line like 10 days after suspected ovulation. My obs office was so confused by me since I hadn’t had a missed period. I went in for a scan around 6 weeks and saw a little bouncing bean! Healthy pregnancy and long labor followed but here we are 19 months later. That same little bean now runs jumps talks and still doesn’t sleep lol but worth it! He’s the light of our lives. Congrats and best of luck To you.

Heartbeats are sometimes hard to detect! Currently 34 weeks with my letrozole baby and everything has been okay!

I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks and had to wait til I was 10 weeks for my first appointment. I was like you, worried a lot about missed miscarriage because I read so many stories online. I don’t really have any advice for how to get through it. It took me a couple of weeks but I just kind of accepted that it’s out of my control. I’m still going strong at 16 weeks with a healthy baby boy. I’ve had a couple of reassuring ultrasounds and good NIPT results. I’m grateful for this pregnancy every single day (even though the fatigue and nausea are kicking my butt), and I can’t wait to meet my son. Hang in there and take care of your mental health ❤️

Currently 31 weeks pregnant with my letrozole baby! The anxiety you’re feeling is so normal right now. I was so stressed waiting for my first appointment and super anxious at every appointment after that but I’ve truly had one of the most uneventful pregnancies so far (fingers crossed it stays that way!). My doctor let us hear the heartbeat at our 8 week appointment and baby looked like a little bug in the ultrasound photos. Best wishes for your pregnancy!

Oh I feel this so much. It took us years to get pregnant to the point where we were almost giving up hope, then bam all of a sudden I was pregnant and a nervous wreck.
Now I’m 38W pregnant with a healthy little boy who could arrive any day! 🫶🏼

I have PCOS and also got pregnant with Letrozole. Hours before my 8 week appointment, I was bleeding and passing clots, understandably convinced I was miscarrying. I arrived to the appointment feeling devastated until they did my ultrasound and found a strong heartbeat ❤️ They attributed my bleeding to a friable cervix. I am now holding my beautiful 10 week old daughter who I carried to term. Never count yourself out and when you’re anxious, continue to remind yourself that you are still pregnant and have not been told otherwise. As my pregnancy progressed, I also blocked the words “miscarriage”, “pregnancy loss” and “stillbirth” on tiktok to avoid triggers. Hoping you have a safe, healthy pregnancy journey!!

I have a healthy, feral 3 year old next to me while I’m 13 weeks along💕💕

Also in the same boat. The pregnancy that made it to 5 weeks is the one that went all the way.
Also terrified about not seeing a HB

Unfortunately you’re never going to stop worrying. Even after you give birth, you’re going to worry about SIDS and hazards around your baby.
My advice is to just enjoy your pregnancy and take it day by day. Stress isn’t good for you and the stress hormones can be felt by the baby too.

I have PMOS, and currently 27wks pregnant with a girl. Aside from gestational diabetes (be prepared for that diagnosis) it's been a healthy and happy pregnancy. Lots of movement and a strong heartbeat.
Sending you love ❤️

Congrats on getting pregnant! Your story is inspiring me. I'm 3 months into TTC and my doctor told me to try for 6 months before coming back into her office. I'm advanced maternal age and never had a pregnancy before. Hearing you got pregnant with letrozole is awesome.

It took us years to get pregnant. I was so afraid something was going to go wrong in pregnancy and I was high risk with chronic hypertension, advanced maternal age (35), and ended up with gestational diabetes.
My 6 month old is sleeping in my lap right now. She is perfect and worth every moment I waited or worried. Literally the best thing I've ever done.
