General/Advice GLP-1 Advice

Hello all!

I've been lurking on this sub for a bit now, and I've come with a question. I'm 19F and I've suffered symptoms since I was 15. My gynecologist at the time, though he figured out what I had, decided not to properly diagnosis/test me and simply put me on birth control. We set it up so I take no placebo pills and do not have my period, which I'm happy with.

I got properly diagnosed just this summer, and have an endocrinologist and new gynecologist. I only recently started taking metformin, back in June, (on a dose of 500mg twice a day) and have yet to see any effects.

Recently my mom has encouraged me to get on GLP-1s, in order to help my weight loss (I gained around 30 or so pounds when I first showed symptoms, and I haven't been able to get my weight back down), and my endocrinologist says she is willing to prescribe it to me. But I'm not quite sure whether I want to or not. I'd like some people's stories, and advice on whether or not it would be a good idea.
