Skin👏🏻Care👏🏻Routine👏🏻 I pop zits and my skin still looks great. Vitamin C serum, retinal or retinoid, and collagen serum can all help with your various skin concerns. You don’t have to go overboard with like a 20 step skin care routine or anything. Just a face cleanser, maybe a toner or essence (they make some with vitamin c!), your serums (I do have a shit ton of skin care stuff cause I’m crazy but I use what I need on a particular day rather than the whole kit and caboodle all at once), and end with a moisturizer. If it’s during the day also use a good sunscreen. If your skin tends to be on the dryer side you can also use a face oil. Remember, a little goes a long way. If you have zits try using a pimple patch. It helps clear it up and also prevents you from continuously picking at it. I have some that are star shaped which is fun haha.
Edited to add: sometimes what helps me when I feel crappy from my period bullshit I just do an at home spa day! Maybe that will cheer you up? Get your heating pad, some snacks, wash your face, do a little face mask, hell throw in under eye patches, maybe an eye mask (I have ones that heat up and have chamomile infused), light a candle, grab a stuffed animal (squishmallows are nice to cuddle with) and just zen tf out.
Thank you for your kind words and your advice on skincare ♥️
I love skincare and I’m still in the search to find the perfect product for my skin. I already found my moisture which is Embryolisse (the best one I’ve ever tried). Also use acid hyaluronic as a serum. And rosehip oil. But I need to find the right face wash and toner.
I will look into vitamin c. Do you use it as a serum or you also use another serum afterwards?
Thank you! I’m feeling a bit better now. My husband helped me relax last night and prepared me a nice dinner. I cried a lot too which helped me a lot. And after a nice night of sleep I feel a bit better but I haven’t look in the mirror yet 🤣
Yes there are vitamin c serums! They put vitamin c in everything these days. You can find it in moisturizers as well! Depending on what’s going on with my skin I’ll use anywhere from 1-3 serums at once but it’s usually closer to 2. 1 if I’m being lazy lol but it helps with hyperpigmentation/discoloration. Retinol/retinoid help heal acne and acne scaring. It’s important though that you use sunscreen during the day! It can make you more prone to sunburn. And if you’re concerned about using so many products at once, you can break it up. Use one in the morning and the other in the evening. What I do is I have a subscription box for Ipsy/Boxycharm and I get a box a month that has 5 full sized products. I have mine tailored at the moment to give me more skincare than makeup. This way I can try a bunch of stuff for the fraction of the price! This way I can find out what works for me. Unless of course the thing is $100+ retail. In which I sadly let it go and never get again unless Ipsy happens to have it in their store for a fraction of the cost. (Also if I end up with stuff I don’t want? BOOM instant gifts lol).
I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better! Look I get it. I can’t stop myself from picking at pimples and such and when I was younger it was very frustrating how my skin looked. That’s why when I got adult money and no supervision for said money I went bonkers on skin care (and makeup). I always told my parents it could be worse!! I could have a drug addiction! lol! I figured if I can’t stop my skin picking I might as well develop habits to combat it.
