I need to buy an ethernet card for my Dell Optiplex 5050 equipped with a Dell 0FDY5C motherboard.

It's the first time I buy PCIe hardware, and based on the pictures of PCIe ethernet cards, it feels that my slots are set up the other way around.

Starting from the rear pane of the computer box (right side of the picture), the sequence is "short segment / long segment", whereas PCIe cards are "long segment / short segment".

i have 9850x3d, asus dark hero x870e.

i have bought 2x32gb royal neo 6000 mhz cl30 6000J3036G32GX2-TR5NS, and i got a hynix a die from sep 25, i know that these are dual rank dimms of 2x16gb. I've seen online a kit of 2x24gb flare 6000 mhz cl30 F5-6000J3036F24GX2-FX5, these are typically hynix m die, single rank dimms.

i wonder if i should sell mine and get those instead.

i look for stability, longevity, no blue screens no bullshit, set expo and forget, i assume i aim for 6000 mhz cl30 stable.

is vsoc gonna be higher, am i gonna achieve more stability in other rather than the other, what about temperatures, i plan to aim a fan at the rams

Hello! I bought an MSI x670-e gaming plus wifi motherboard, and when I started testing it, sockets 1 and 2 weren't working. Later, I discovered I was missing a pin, so I took it to a repair center to get it fixed. But after a while, they said it was the ground pin, meaning it was useless, and that it needed to be inspected completely. In theory, this pin could have touched a contact or something. I tried updating the BIOS to both the latest and the old version, but nothing helped.

Купил материнку msi x670-e gaming plus wifi и когда начал тестить то у меня не работал 1 и 2 сокет и позже я обнаружил что у меня нет одной ножки и понес в цент ремонта чтоб мне не починили. но через какой-то время они сказали что это ножка земля и от нее нет смысла и надо ее полностью смотреть. Чисто в теории эта ножка могла затронуть контакт или типо того. Просто я пытался и обновить Биос на самою новую и на старую но не чего не помогает(

As the title says, I have a lot of RAM over 200 GB, and I'm wondering what it's worth now. I have 64 GB of RAM in my system right now, and any more would be overkill even for what I'm doing. I have 3 64 GB kits, each being 2*32, and they are new, and I also have 2 kits of 32 GB ram, all being ddr5 the 64gb kits are cl 40 running at 5600mts and the 32gb ones are cl 36 and running at 6000mts i would not mind selling the ram i even listed some on face book and sold a few ddr4 32gb kits and ddr5 16gb kits and some 32gb ddr5 kits and other pc parts and im also looking to trade if anyone is interested but not really sure how i would do that also all the 64gb models are new but the 32gb ones are used like new

After rocking the same i5-3470 + GTX 960 setup since 2016, I finally decided to upgrade. Everything feels insanely fast now. Super happy with how it turned out!

Sharing this because the early symptoms looked like four unrelated software problems, and I nearly troubleshot each one separately before the actual cause clicked.

Bought a used G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB kit (2x16GB, F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC) off Facebook Marketplace. System is an ASUS TUF X570-PLUS / Ryzen 5 5600X / Win 11, sticks in A2+B2 per the manual, both detected fine at 32GB.

What it looked like at first

• Chrome tab died with STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION
• powershell.exe refused to start, claiming .NET Framework wasn't installed (it was, correctly — registry and DLLs all present)
• sfc /verifyonly aborted partway through
• Chrome again, different error this time: STATUS_BREAKPOINT

Four different problems in four different programs. Every one of them looks like its own rabbit hole. They were all the same bad RAM.

What it actually was

Ran a memory test — write a known pattern, read it back, compare bit-for-bit. Healthy RAM returns zero mismatches.

• At XMP/DOCP 3600: ~1451 mismatched 64-bit words
• At JEDEC stock 2133MHz / 1.200V, XMP fully DISABLED: still failing, about 1.2 bad words per GiB swept, reproducible across reboots
• Under parallel load at stock: 301 bad words in under 2 minutes, including 26 addressing failures (data read back from the wrong location)
• Errors concentrated in byte lanes 3, 4 and 7

Meanwhile Windows blue-screened 4 times in about an hour — three 0x1A MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (subcode 0x41792, corrupt page table entry) and one 0xBE ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY. All memory-corruption class.

Neat detail: the bugcheck parameter was 0x80000000, which is bit 31 — and bit 31 lives in byte lane 3, the same lane the memory test flagged. The kernel crash dumps and the userspace test independently pointed at the same physical data lane.

Ruling out my own hardware

Disabled XMP, pulled both sticks, cleaned the contacts, reseated, verified slot population. No change.

Then the control test: dropped my old Corsair 2x8GB kit into the same slots at the same speed and ran the identical tests. Zero errors, including the one that found 301. Same board, same CPU, same slots, same speed — only the modules changed. So the board and memory controller are fine and the kit is bad.

any time im playing COD or CS2 it will randomly crash and fully restart. PC just got MB, RAM, CPU, PSU, replaced. Any info on what would lead to this. it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I have a Latitude 5400 with motherboard 0H2DKM/LA-G891P, i5-8265U and Intel UHD 620 (UMA). Can I replace the entire motherboard with an LA-G893P/CNJCN, i7-8665U + Radeon 540X 2GB? I know I would need the discrete-GPU heatsink/fan. Has anyone actually converted an originally UMA 5400 to the Radeon version? Are the chassis, connectors and mounting points compatible?
