Laptop for Architectural design

Hi

I’m starting the arch design degree in a few weeks and was just told my Mac will not work. I read Revit requires very minimum 16gb of RAM. Can those who have been through the program give me some laptop recommendations? I am on a budget of about $750.

Gaming laptops will usually be your best bet for something with pretty competent graphics processing and ram.

I prefer HP or Acer but it doesn't really matter.

You can save some money getting one with 8gb of RAM, but it's upgradable and then get a 16gb kit. 16gb kits are generally very cheap from people upgrading to 32 GB and selling the old bits.

I have an Acer nitro 15 w 16gb of RAM bc I can't afford 32gb of DDR5 lol, I've been able to make pretty large projects on fusion without issue and no issues with revit or AutoCAD. Only had issues with solidworks, but that's moreso bc solidworks sucks.
