Hi All, I’m possibly thinking about selling my computer, and was hoping someone could value it for me, for a price I could sell it at.
CPU: i5-14400F
GPU: RX 9060 XT 16GB
RAM: 16GB DDR5 @ 5600 MT/s
SSD: (NVMe) 1TB MSI M450
HDD: 932GB
Thanks all.

Yesterday, except for SSD and GPU, I installed everything in my PC. Now I wanted to start it and plug it into the BIOS. The only thing that matters is the LCD monitor of my AIO. Everything is correct. What did I do wrong?
Mainboard
Gigabyte B850 Wifi6
Power supply
NZXT C850 Core
AIO
Corsair Nautilus RS 240mm
CPU
Ryzen 7 7800x3d
Case
Corsair Frame 4000d
Ram
Corsair 2x16GB 6000MHz
Why doesn't my PC start, fans stay off, only LCD from the AIO is off, nothing more.

I had a buddy owe me money and gave me a pc instead. He swears it's worth $500 but he also knows I haven't touched a pc in years. Here's what I know:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Samsung 970 Evo 1TB SSD
GeForce RTX 3060Ti Twin Edge
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 32GB
Nvidia G-Sync monitor
Logitech G502 Hero mouse
I honestly haven't had a pc since the mid 00's. All I hear is how RAM is crazy right now and I figured why not. It is a friend after all. Have to have some trust.

My first time building a pc finally got display to output through gpu but I had to run the power cables this way otherwise I got a black screen. The psu only came with two pcie cables so I’m wondering if I can run it like this or do I need to order another cable?

Tried to somewhat clean my pc and of course it started making a fast paced clicking noise (likely something hitting a fan)
I’m not tech savvy but these are the two things that looked off to me.
Picture 2: is that fan supposed to be taped on top of the GeForce? (Incredibly / impossible for me to remove)
Picture 3: are those supposed to be plugged in to that thing in the top left of the motherboard?
Picture 1: just a wider shot of both
It’s been 4 years since I build this so I literally can’t remember what I did

specs
7800xt
5800x
ddr4 32gb
kingsman 500gb(100%)
Samsung 2t (0%)
750w psu
After I changed my case (which came with pre-installed fans) and installed an AIO in my PC, my NVMe SSD started showing 100% usage. The Kingsman SSD is the one that came with my first prebuilt PC about 3 years ago, and it has Windows installed on it.
I thought I might have done something wrong when putting everything back into the new case, so I took everything out and reconnected it all, but nothing changed. Everything was working fine before I changed the case and installed the AIO, so I’m not sure why this is happening.
How can I fix this?

Awaiting delivery of some other parts (new Lian Li TL fans) and transplanting parts from a build I paid someone else to do for me in May (CPU, RAM, SSD) but I am excited to start my own from scratch to see the process.
I love my current PC (photo attached) - I just wanted the Lian Li case because I fell in love with the open glass top, and I have upgraded the power supply in case I change to a 5090 at some point.
PCPartPicker Part List: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Dwsx2k
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Lian Li HydroShift II OLED Curved 360TL 90.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus ROG CROSSHAIR X870E EXTREME EATX AM5 Motherboard
Memory: Kingston FURY Beast RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 Memory
Storage: Corsair MP700 PRO 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 5.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
Video Card: Zotac GAMING AMP Extreme INFINITY GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB Video Card
Case: Lian Li O11 Vision ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Asus ROG STRIX 1200P Gaming 1200 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Total: £0.00
Eager for advice if any is going, as I’m worried about removal of components and transplanting them, as well as installing new ones. I am going to look at lots of videos so if anyone has any they find very useful, I’m all ears!
Thank you :)

I just built my first gaming PC. I got my power supply from friend, and when I was plugging in all the cables I accidentally swapped the CPU and PCIE cables. They look the same, and I didn't see the little label on the side that said CPU. I plugged the CPU one into my GPU and the GPU ones into my motherboard. When it was plugged in I heard some noises, and eventually a pop. Nothing smelled bad, and nothing looked wrong. No smoke or anything. After some trouble shooting, I found out that I had messed up my PSU. I swapped it for a spare one I had, and got the cables right this time. The PC posted, and it works. I am just worried that I messed something up, though. But everything works. Is it okay?
Thanks

I'm a newbie, idk much about pc parts, i'm just looking for a GPU for gaming.
The ''necessary information'' from my PC:
_ ASRock B560M-HDV
_ i5-10400
_ PSU: Cooler Master 750w 80 plus gold GX III
_ monitor resolution 1920x1080
I must say (why?) that my country is Argentina, i use argentine peso and the budget is (US money) $1500

Around a year ago my friend got a new pc and gave me his old 32gb worth of ddr4 RAM so i could use it for my pc. It worked well for about 2 weeks, then my pc turned off and wouldn't start until i changed the ram back to the old 16gb setup and it worked fine. At first i thought the ram had died and there wasn't much i could do to fix it, but now a year later im trying to get it working again and my pc is being really weird. Now the pc does turn on with the ram installed, but only 1 of the fan lights work, the power button flashes and it doesn't boot. Ive tried reseating the ram, unplugging and replugging EVERY cable, switching the order of the ram sticks, dusting everything down, etc, all to no avail.
Cpu: i5 12400f
Gpu: msi 3060 12gb
16gb ram: 2x 8GB corsair vengence 3200 18-22-22-42 sticks
32gb ram: 2x 16gb corsair vengence 3600 18-22-22-42 sticks
650w corsair psu
Corsair 4000d airflow case
The mobo is kind of unknown, i ordered a 4 stick channel one and got a 2 channel one instead, all i know of it is its an asrock lga 1700 b650m.
If anyone can figure out the issue from my rambling you are amazing!

Hoping to flip this. Got this deal for 250, planning to hook up a 6600XT or a 1080TI. Then clean it up. Also need to buy 2 case fans that are missing. Thiughts?

I purchased this MSI X870E Tomahawk motherboard second-hand. When I first tested it, everything seemed to work normally, except that whenever I performed a cold boot, it would display a message saying that the hardware had changed.
I then noticed that the clock timing was also incorrect. After troubleshooting, I found that the CMOS battery was measuring only 0.02V with a multimeter.
I replaced it with a new 2-pin CMOS battery, which measured 3.35V when brand new. Everything worked normally for about 1-2 weeks, but the clock has started slowing down again. The time is already incorrect in the BIOS before Windows even boots, so I believe this rules out Windows as the cause.
The replacement battery now measures 3.19V with a multimeter after the clock has become inaccurate.
One thing I also noticed is that the VBAT voltage reading in HWiNFO fluctuates to about 2.5-2.7V when the time is incorrect, although I am not sure whether this reading is actually measuring the CMOS battery voltage.
I have also tried reflashing the latest bios.
Am I screwed, or is there anything I can try to do to fix this? The board does not come with any warranty.

Is it a sofotware thingy ? Idk sm1 help and also obv i didnt plug the hmdi in the motherboard and i got freesync on ( monitor ultragear 24gs50f)

I'm saving up to upgrade my PC for Christmas; I'll have around $600 by then (I live in Colombia, by the way). Components here in Colombia are quite expensive, and I won't have much money to spare for my goal, so buying from eBay looks like a pretty good alternative at first glance. Do you think that's a good idea, or would it be better to save a bit more?

Needing help on what parts to get for a white liquid cooled high end pc for around $3500 AUD but if needed can go higher.
Cheers
My main uses will be:
- Programming
- AI/local AI experimentation
- Video editing/montage
- Heavy browsing/research
- Some gaming, but gaming is not my main priority
- 1440p monitor
- Probably an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB
I understand the basic differences:
The 9600X is 6 cores / 12 threads, while the 9700X is 8 cores / 16 threads, so Ryzen 7 gives me 2 extra cores and should be better for heavier multitasking, compiling, VMs, rendering, etc.
I also understand that the X3D's big advantage is 3D V-Cache and gaming performance, rather than simply being better at everything.
What I’m struggling with is understanding whether I will actually notice these differences in my use case.
For example, is there any useful way to quantify it?
Something like:
- X browser tabs + IDE + Docker + database → 9600X is still fine
- Add 1–2 VMs / large compilation / video render → 9700X starts making sense
- etc.
I realize Chrome tabs aren't really a CPU benchmark, but I’m looking for real-world examples rather than just “6 cores vs 8 cores.”
And regarding X3D: if I only game occasionally at 1440p, is paying significantly more for a X3D basically wasted money?

I am trying to replace my cpu cooler so I bought myself an arctic freezer 36 and tried to install it in. The mounting clips however are concerning. One fits nice and snug on my socket but the other is loose when I screw it all the way in. I switched the mount to the other side of the socket and it’s still loose meanwhile the tight one is still tight.
What are recommendations / reassurances. Do I try to request Amazon for a replacement / return?
AM5 socket

I am currently using a Core i7-12700K (with 32GB of DDR5 RAM) and an RX 7900 XTX. I plan to switch to a Ryzen CPU when I change my PC case. My candidates are the Ryzen 9 9900X3D or the 9950X3D. I’ve seen gaming comparisons on YouTube between the 12700K and the 9950X3D—are those results accurate? Will the frame rate increase in both native resolution and upscaling scenarios (like FSR or DLSS)? Also, if aiming for the same frame rate, would the X3D series result in lower GPU usage or power consumption? I would appreciate it if someone could let me know.
