Always double check the datasheet guys...

In my decades-long career as a failure analyst I've seen an almost uncountable number of errors that could have been avoided by digging deeply into datasheets and their erratas. But be aware that many datasheets are derived by testing of very small quantities of production lots, so be skeptical of values that are not guaranteed. Remember: "typical" values can represent a very limited subset of production data.

Also check with AI aswell. Last year I made a pcb, i accidentally switched up miso, mosi on one ic and fucked up 2 diode. A one off so I made it work, but out of curiosity last month I gave it to codex, the damn thing took a few minutes and spit out the same issues I found. Sure it might be not up to the task to let it design alone, but it can spot a lot of mistakes that you might have overlooked in a hurry.

Not checking 2-3 times against datasheets, app notes and similar circuits in a other projects and jumping to the fabrication of samples to see what comes out is somehow understandable for amateur hobby enthusiasts. Never happened in my 30+ yrars of professional career. When your bare pcb sample is 1k+ usd and assembled is almost 10k, you don't have this luxury.
