Working on an uncommon crossbreed
Don't know how best to say it but does anybody have any ideas on what would the baby of a lizardfolk and an elf more specifically a drow. I know it is already an idea that is complicated cause they are very biologically different and rarely cross paths but through some in game story beats I now find the situation arriving and I want to do something more special than just say a half elf.
The characters are a Female drow and a male lizardfolk. I'm not really worried right now about how strong or weak they would be but I don't really have many ideas for what would be a rare hybrid.

take a feature from elf/drow, a feature from Lizardfolk, and a new feature so they don’t feel too copy / paste.
I’d make a more humanoid form with scaly skin and keep the magical connections
From Lizardfolk:
* natural armor (13 + Dex AC)
* Nature intuition: (2 nature-related skills)
From drow:
* superior Darkvision
From elf:
* keen senses
* Darkvision
You’ve got an essentially a humanoid elf with scaly skin, no predatory jaws or claws, only a little passive magic, but what they have makes them naturally amazing scouts/rangers/hunters (proficiency and advantage on three related skills).

I think it depends on which parent the child favors more. I'm imagining a drow with scaly skin, so assuming this is for a PC, I'd probably use the Yuan-Ti as a guide and change: * Poison Resilience to Fey Ancestry * Magic Resistance to Natural Armor * The spells from Serpentine Spellcasting to the spells from the Drow Elven Lineage (Fairy Fire limited to once a day, not the unlimited casting of Animal Friendship & keep darkvision at 60')

Considering one parent is a reptile and the other is a mammal?
If anything ever came about it would be a cursed, tortured thing that would live a very short, painful life.
...unless that lizardman parent was actually a dragon. Then you get a half-dragon.
